Zoned Review – 8 Reasons To Consider
Zoned is advertised as a supplement that can provide two main benefits, including a boost of energy and improvement in cognitive abilities. The formula is produced by Zoned Nutrition, an US company established in 2012 and based in Los Angeles, NV.
Zoned is not the only supplement produced by this company. In fact, they produce quite a few other fitness and brain-enhancing supplements.
This product is not too popular although a few of our readers have requested a review on it. When we visited Zoned’s official website, we were impressed with the way the website was build: clean and simple.
We also liked how the company offers blogs, nutrition articles, and a very detailed description of the ingredients in each product. It’s fair to say that Zoned made quite a good first impression, but let’s check out the quality and value of the product itself.

1) What is Zoned?
Zoned’s formula includes 5 active nootropics: Sulbutiamine, Choline, Hurdenine, Schizandrol, and Caffeine (while not a nootropic per say, caffeine is famous for its psychoactive properties and promotes better focus, increased energy, and vigilance).
One thing that is interesting about Zoned’s formula is the inclusion of Choline in the detriment of Alpha GPC. Choline plays a key role in supporting cell membrane and in production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Research showed that acetylcholine is beneficial for the formation and encoding of memory as well as ability to direct focus. Because of these properties, Choline has quickly become one of the most common ingredient in brain supplements.
But why we said the inclusion of Choline over Alpha GPC is a bit strange? The answer is simple: because of its ability to penetrate the blood brain barrier, or better said, because of its inability to do that. Because Choline can’t easily penetrate the blood brain barrier, only a fraction of the nutrients is delivered to the brain, making Choline less effective than other similar compounds – like Alpha GPC.
2) What’s Inside Zoned?
Zoned contains the following ingredients: Sulbutiamine (300 mg), Choline citrate (255 mg), Caffeine (120 mg), Hordenine (50 mg), Schizandrol-A (30 mg).
3) What Does Zoned Do?
As stated above, Zoned consists of a mixture of five powerful nootropic ingredients.
Sulbutiamine, the most powerful nootropic in the Zoned stack, is a super-charged analog of Vitamin B1, designed to both energized and boost your mood. It is believed to interact with Dopamine receptors in the brain while also enhancing energy metabolism in your neurons. Taking Sulbutiamine may result in heightened alertness and better mental clarity.
Another ingredient that is worth mentioning is Choline. Choline plays a key role in brain health as it is extremely important for your brain in order to keep its cell membranes and facilitate the production of acetylcholine (neurotransmitter). In more common terms, Choline supports a better memory, the ability to focus, alertness, and better energy levels.
However, there are some negatives associated with this ingredient. For example, Choline has a difficult time penetrating the blood brain barrier (BBB) because it is significantly broken down by the gut. Not being able to easily go through the blood brain barrier means that less nutrients are delivered directly into the brain, making this ingredient far less effective than other similar substances.
4) Zoned Claims
- Affordable price.
- The formula contains some high quality ingredients.
- Well designed presentation website with tons of useful information on it.
- Many positive reviews and testimonials are available online.
5) Precautions of Zoned Use
- Zoned contains 120 mg of caffeine.
- May not provide long-term benefits.
- No free sample available.
- The manufacturer decided to go with Choline instead of Alpha GPC, which is a superior compound.
6) How Much Does Zoned Cost?
One bottle of Zoned costs around $34.99 and contains 30 capsules. Because the recommended dose is one capsule per day, one bottle is enough for up to one month of use. Considering the quality of the ingredients and the manufacturing process, this is a fair price for a nootropic.
7) Suggested Use
Zoned also contains caffeine, which seems disheartening. 120 mg of caffeine is quite a lot, especially for those who don’t drink coffee with regularity. Caffeine may provide a boost in energy and focus, but it may also lead to some unwanted side effects.
8) Our Final Take On Zoned
If you are looking for a supplement to help you get energize for a long day of studying, then the Zoned might work very well for you.
According to many testimonials, Zoned’s benefits are most noticeable after taking two capsules at a time or on mornings where you may wake up feeling sleep-deprived or low on energy. However, there are instances of side effects and continuous use may lead to build-up of tolerance or negative influences on your mood.
If brain health and overall well-being are your goals, trusting the science is the first step you need to take.
