Women’s One Review
Women’s One is a dietary supplement specifically designed to meet the nutritional requirements of women. The formula is produced by Rainbow Light, a Californian based company founded in 1981. On their official web-site the manufacturer offers detailed information about their practices, their sustainability and transparency policy, and all a customer needs to know about a supplier of nutritional supplements. We’re impressed with the level of detail provided by Rainbow Light and we believe there should be more nutraceuticals producers to follow their example.
Women’s One is advertised as the #1 selling multivitamin for women but there’s no indication on what basis this claim is made. Looking at the list of ingredients, the supplement appears to address several different areas specific to women’s health. The first part of the ingredient list consists in vitamins and minerals, essential for maintaining normal function of all our organs and systems. They work both separately and together and have been shown to participate in numerous processes throughout the entire body. The second part consists in several whole herbs extracts generally included for their antioxidant qualities, energizing effects, and their ability to restore and maintain hormonal balance. The third part of Women’s One consist in a blend of live plant-source enzymes and probiotics that promote a healthy digestive system.

As described above the formula is a three part supplement. The multivitamin and multimineral blend supports overall health. Each nutrient works both individually and together with others vitamins or minerals. Vitamin A is a very effective antioxidant known to support a healthy vision. Vitamin C is also an antioxidant considered essential for maintaining the immune system working at optimal capacity. Vitamin D3 is crucial for Calcium absorption and maintenance of a healthy immune system. Vitamin K works together with vitamin D and plays numerous essential functions throughout the body. Vitamin K’s benefits are often overlooked, but a deficiency in this nutrient has been associated with osteoporosis, arterial calcification, cardiovascular disease, brain problems (including neurodegenerative conditions), infectious diseases (pneumonia), and many others. Vitamin E is commonly recommended for the maintenance of the circulatory system and heart health. The B complex of vitamins is also essential for human health, and their benefits on the nervous system and cognitive function are incontestable.
Calcium is essential for a healthy bone system. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that affects a large part of the elderly women. Its symptoms can be prevented by proper intake of Calcium.
Magnesium levels are also known to decrease by age. The macro-mineral (called this way because the body needs more than 100 mg per day) is involved in over 300 enzymatic processes. Its benefits also refer to the health of the bone system and the heart. Researchers discovered that proper intakes of Magnesium can prevent type 2 diabetes. Zinc is needed for the maintenance of the eye’s health, and preventing inflammatory conditions. Zinc deficiencies have also been associated with anemia and improper growth usually observed in underdeveloped countries.
The herbal extracts include Don Quai, Spirulina, and Red Clover. Don Quai is believed to regulate estrogen levels (the key hormone in women), provide essential B vitamins (B12, B9, and Biotin) known to maintain healthy red blood cells count and increase blood volume, reduce anxiety symptoms, cramps, and help alleviate symptoms of skin conditions like neurodermatitis, eczema, rosacea, pruritis, vitiligo, and hives. Spirulina is a rich source of vitamins and minerals that acts as a powerful antioxidant, helps reduce high cholesterol, reduces allergy symptoms, blood pressure, and improves endurance and energy levels.

Women’s One is a multivitamin that appears to be a good source of natural nutrients. The supplement provides most of the essential vitamins and minerals essential for women’s health. It is also enriched with a blend of whole food extracts and probiotic enzymes that make it an effective detoxification solution.
Although there’s no scientific evidence to support Rainbow Light’s formula, the large number of consumer reviews is a pretty solid proof that this is a high-end product. More than 70% of those who used this product have scored it with 5 out of 5 stars.
This being said, and given the transparency policy of this manufacturer, we are confident that Women’s One is a very good multivitamin supplement that will be able to provide the necessary nutritional requirements of women. Of course, we always recommend getting the doctor’s approval before starting using any dietary supplement.
