Ginkgo Biloba from TruNature is an herbal formulation based on two core ingredients: Vinpocentine and Ginkgo Biloba.
Ginkgo Biloba is commonly used as a memory and concentration enhancer. Many studies conducted established this plant’s benefits, but with conflicting results.
The plant’s leaf extract is generally considered safe when taken by mouth for the majority of people. It can, however, cause minor side effects such as headache, stomach upset, dizziness, constipation, heart palpitations and allergic skin reactions.
Vinpocetine is used as for vasodilatation, as a cerebral blood-flow enhancer and has neuro-protective properties. It is used for the treatment of age-related memory impairments and cerebrovascular disorders. According to clinical studies is considered a side-effect free drug. Some people however have reported low immune function as a result of continuous use of Vinpocentine.
The manufacturer recommends one capsule taken two times daily, preferably with a meal.
Special precautions are issued for children, pregnant and nursing women, people who are on MAOI antidepressants or blood thinners. The formula has not been evaluated by the FDA but has received good reviews from consumers.
