Bottom Line
Synapsyl is a nootropic supplement claimed to be one of the best brain supplements for concentration and focus. According to the manufacturer, Synapsyl is “like Viagra for the brain.”
The formula promises to nurture your brain with “neuroprotectants” that will guard your brain’s grey matter and keep you firing on all synapses. Furthermore, the official website urges you to hurry, because Synapsyl’s stocks are limited.
As stated above, Synapsyl is a nootropic supplement. Nootropics are types of supplements that are said to be specifically designed to improve cognition. The concept behind this type of supplements is that, while nootropics will help with memory and brain function, they lack the effects of psychotropic drugs, meaning you won’t get “high” off them.
Ingredients
Synapsyl contains the following ingredients: Synapsyl contains the following ingredients: Gingko Bilboa as 24% extract, Phosphatidylserine Complex, Acetyl-L Carnitine, St. John’s Wort as 0.3% extract, Glutamine as L-glutamine hydrocloride, DMAE Bitartrate, Bacopin; 20% bacosides, Vinpocetine, Silica, Magnesium Stearate, and Gelatin.
Product Features
Synapsyl consists of a mixture of several herbal extracts and amino-acids. Unlike many other similar formulas, Synapsyl does not contain vitamins or minerals, which, from our point of view, might be a mistake. Even in trace amounts, certain vitamins and minerals will help amino-acids and herbal extracts reach the brain and pass through the brain blood barrier. Vitamins and minerals usually play a key role in delivering the nutrients to the brain, thus ensuring better efficiency of the formula.
Synapsyl contains two main active ingredients: Bacopa Monnieri and Phosphatidylserine. Phosphatidylserine is a chemical found in our own brains and it is one of the most common ingredients in most nootropics. However, until a few years ago, the Phosphatidylserine used in nootropics was made from cow brains and according to multiple sources is possibly effective for age-related mental decline and fighting against Alzheimer’s disease. But over the past few years, the origin of Phosphatidylserine has been changed – mostly because of fears of mad cow disease – and Phosphatidylserine is now manufactured from soy or cabbage and it is unknown if it provides the same benefits.
The second key ingredient în Synapsyl is Bacopa Monnieri (Bacopin). This plan has been used for centuries in Eastern medicine to treat memory decline. According to Synapsyl’s official website, a 2012 study by the Center for Human Pharmacology showed that Bacopa Monnieri will improve memory recall. However, the study was referring to some very specific Bacopa Monnieri extracts that does not include Bacopin. Overall, Bacopa Monnieri may be effective in supporting better memory, but research into the plant is still in its infancy.

- Some ingredients have been proven to support brain functioning
- Synapsyl can be purchased online, directly from the manufacturer

- No free trial
- Expensive shipping
- Both key active ingredients still require extensive research and may not be effective at supporting memory, focus or concentration

Conclusion
Who doesn’t want to be a little smarter? From the college student cramming for a test to the older person trying to remember where they put their glasses, everyone is willing to at least try one of these overhyped nootropics that promise amazing results.
As stated above, certain nootropic substances do show some promise and Synapsyl claims to include some of these in its formula. However, there are some important things to remember: first, there is no actual ingredient listing, so we don’t know how many milligrams of each substance it contains. Secondly, the product is quite expensive (not considering the shipping costs as well) and many people will not be able to afford it.
Should you buy Synapsyl? That is entirely up to you. If you want to give it a try, then give it a try. Synapsyl may be effective and it may provide some of the claimed benefits. However, we encourage our readers to further research into this formula before making a purchase.
