Garlic includes the following ingredients: Garlic (bulb), Parsley (leaf), gelatin, water, colors, and Calcium Stearate.

3) Does Garlic Work?

Garlic is an ingredient that has been used for centuries in the process of promoting a good overall health. Most of the scientific studies revealed that garlic possesses compounds like Allicin which is, in fact, the reason for the garlic’s pungent odor but accounts for the majority of its beneficial effects. Because garlic has proved reliable in fighting parasites, bacteria, viruses, worms and illnesses caused by them, it is still used for killing microbes that cause dysentery, diarrhea or pneumonia as well as treating the cold flues. Some studies that were conducted on humans show that the garlic may help lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension and also reduce cholesterol levels.

Most of the times, garlic is recommended to enhance the immune system. Research confirmed the beneficial effects of the garlic related to improvement of immune functions, being especially efficient against psychological and physical stress symptoms. Because of its blood thinning and antioxidant qualities, garlic is also capable of providing brain cell support and increase blood and oxygen flow to the brain, thus supporting normal functions of the cognitive system, such as: learning abilities, memory and alertness.

Even though garlic is considered to be safe when taken by mouth, it may cause burning sensations in the stomach or mouth and gas or nausea. Because there are no online available customer testimonials, the product’s Effectiveness relies only on manufacturer and label specifications.

Garlic can be found for purchase by bottles that contain ninety vegetarian capsules. A bottle is sufficient for three months of treatment if the label is followed properly. The price of the product is average and can even be considered cheap, regarding the number of capsules per bottle and the fact that an individual should also buy four bottles per year if he desires a long-term treatment.

Garlic can be purchased either from manufacturer website or other offline or online retailers. When the purchase is big (more than three bottles), discounts and promotions are usually offered by the retailers.

7) Suggested Use

The recommended dose of Garlic is 1 capsule per day. There are no consumer reviews referencing the formula posted online, nor are there any side effects or special warnings mentioned by the manufacturer.

Bottom Line

8) The Bottom Line – “Does it Work?”

Garlic has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, in many regions of the world. Garlic is marketed to provide approximately one clove of whole garlic in each capsule, particularly 550 mg of garlic, while the recommended dosage is 600-12200 mg per day. Garlic has numerous benefits, many scientifically researched. However, the formula offered by Standard Process did not receive online consumer review, making it difficult for us to evaluate its effectiveness. However, the excellent reputation of the manufacturer and the fact that the supplement has been introduced on the market in 1998 are guarantees that the formula is successful at least for some consumers.
