Red blood cells or haematids have a limited lifespan of 120 days. They are essential to transporting oxygen to body tissues and carbon dioxide from the tissue. Vitamin B12, along with Vitamin B9, helps continuously supply red blood cells and promote optimum oxygen levels at cellular level. B12 is also essential to Folic Acid release in the body.

Another important function of Vitamin B12 is promoting balanced mood and fighting symptoms of stress by supporting the activity of essential hormones and neurotransmitters such as Serotonin, Dopamine and Melatonin. These particular neurotransmitters are necessary for a healthy balanced mood, emotional state and even the sleeping cycle. An imbalance in either the levels or the function of any of these can result in a depression which is likely to need medicating. Vitamin B12 deficiency has been observed in patients suffering from various age related cognitive impairment ailments such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and vascular dementia.
Vitamin B12 and other B vitamins such as B6 and B9 help reduce levels of the amino acid homocysteine, linked to ailments such as Alzheimer’s disease, symptoms of depression, atherosclerosis, stroke, coronary heart disease, and anxiety. Vitamin B12 is considered safe when taken in the recommended doses, and rarely causes side effects such as blood clots, diarrhea, itching, and allergic reactions.

This supplement is the one to buy if want B-12. It is easy to take and is very small. I am glad I purchased it and suggest you buy this instead of the larger pills out there.

I used to pay twice as much for co-enzyme B-12 through a network marketing scheme. Man was I ignorant! now Standard Process B-12 is better and half as much. I recommend this to everyone!
