Focus and Energy is a daily supplement and nootropic that promises to improve your focus and give you a healthy amount of energy that lasts all day. The distributor is Oregon company Stamina Life. 1) Quick Overview
The top 3 ingredients, by amount, are: green tea extract, guarana seed extract, and chromium. The next largest additions are iodine from kelp, panax ginseng root, and eleuthero root, all in amounts of 150 mg.
2) Ingredients of Focus and Energy
Focus and Energy contains the following ingredients: Vitamin E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Pantothenic Acid, Potassium, Iodine, Chromium, Guarana Extract, Green Tea Extract, Panax Ginseng, Eleuthero, Rhodiola Extract, Licorice, Gotu Kola, Yerba Mate Extract, Cayenne, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Coenzyme Q10, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Powder
3) Is Focus and Energy Right for You?
Bottles have a large amount of ingredients in the formula, including ginkgo biloba, green tea extract, and guarana seed. There are 22 herbs, vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients. There aren’t any fillers and the capsules are vegetarian, but the formula could be pared down for maximum effectiveness. Each capsule also has approximately 31 mg of caffeine from the formula. It’s naturally occurring, not added or artificial, but the inclusion of a stimulant may be a deal breaker for some people.
Chromium is tied for the second largest inclusion. Chromium aids in normal bodily functions so it’s essential in small amounts. 20 to 35 mcg is the recommended daily amount for most people, although it’s found in common foods. We tend to get sufficient chromium in our diets, but some people will need more, particularly diabetics. The mineral has the potential to assist with blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and more. Unfortunately large amounts can also lead to low blood sugar and stomach problems, so amounts need to be carefully moderated. If you’re not sure how much chromium you might need, consult with your doctor first, so you can figure out what supplements are best for you. Generally chromium is considered safe in people of all ages and inclinations. Focus And Energy contains 200 mcg per serving, the maximum before most people start to experience side effects.
4) Focus and Energy: Pros and Cons
- Vegetarian capsules. Stamina Life doesn’t list what they’re made from, but it’s likely cellulose, as that’s the most popular option. Stamina Life says these capsules are easily absorbed and work quickly to give you the results you need.
- Natural premium ingredients. This product is manufactured in a GMP certified facility to ensure quality and potency.
5) What You Need to Know Before Taking Focus and Energy
- A formula which may help but doesn’t need so many ingredients. It has 22 active ingredients, including vitamins and minerals. Ingredient amounts are also unusual in some cases, for example 200 mcg chromium instead of the recommended daily allowance of 20 to 35 mcg.
- Some people have reported that the supplement doesn’t work well for them, and may even have side effects for some, although this is fairly normal. Because everyone’s body is different, supplements are rarely universally effective.
6) Focus and Energy Cost
The price is slightly below average. Each bottle lasts for 45 days if you follow the directions and take 2 capsules a day. The company offers discounts for large orders, and free shipping on many other orders, so it’s possible to save quite a bit of money if you’re a repeat customer. They offer a money back guarantee but don’t specify an amount of time that the guarantee is valid.
7) How to Use Focus and Energy
Panax ginseng is the most popular ginseng for supplement use, as one of the families considered to be adaptogens. Adaptogens may treat a variety of medical conditions, although their use is controversial within the scientific community, since good research on them is scarce. Ginseng is safe in large amounts and adverse effects are uncommon. It’s generally taken in doses of 200 to 400 mg each day, and 400 mg appears to be better because of the cognitive benefits, so Stamina Life could add a lot more to improve their formula. Amounts as low as 40 mg are thought to be bioactive, so 150 mg is still a decent amount. Gingeng is best known for reducing fatigue and improving mood. It may also be helpful for diabetics and people with respiratory tract infections.
8) Our Verdict on Focus and Energy
This is a bit like a combination of multivitamin and nootropic because of the lengthy ingredient list. More than half is amino acids and natural herbs, most of which have been used in traditional medicine for hundreds of years or more. Energy boosting supplements often use B vitamins, although this product falls short of being a proper B complex. The amounts are fairly consistent but it leaves out vitamin B7 (biotin) and B9 (folate). Overall people seem to genuinely enjoy Focus And Energy, and it’s accumulated a good amount of positive reviews. It isn’t a miracle pill, but it might be what you need to bring additional energy and focus into your life.

It seems to take about a week before you see the benefits for focus, energy, and clarity. One reviewer said Focus And Energy improved weight management and might have contributed to better blood flow in the body and mind. Part of the energy enhancement is from the caffeine, but it's a low amount, just over half of what a regular cup of coffee would give you. People say you don't get any of coffee's potential side effects like jitters or crashes when using this product. Focus And Energy doesn't work for absolutely everyone, but most people have a pleasant experience with it. Reviews are positive and side effects are extremely rare, always good signs for a supplement.
