Prostate Revive Review
Dr. David Bernstein’s Prostate Revive is an all-natural supplement intended to alleviate prostate afflictions, support normal urinary flow and maintain the health of the prostate gland. According to the company’s website, the manufacturer was founded with the purpose of creating high quality dietary supplements that target specific conditions and ailments. Established fairly recently as a division of Medix Health LLC, Medix Select focuses on creating premium supplements with high quality ingredients.
Prostate Revive combines a series of natural plant extracts, such as saw palmetto, beta sistosterol, pumpkin seed or pomegranate as well as some vitamins and minerals in an effort to provide an effective cure for men with prostate conditions. While both saw palmetto and beta sistosterol have been used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or other symptoms of prostate gland enlargement, this has been the case in alternative medicine. No recognized, large scale clinical studies have been organized to prove whether the main ingredients, saw palmetto and beta sistosterol are effective in curing prostate conditions.
Also recommended for the reduction of urinary incontinence, Prostate Revive is advertised as an adjuvant to bladder control or weak urine stream. While it does contain a series of substances, vitamins and minerals that are likely to have a positive impact upon the customer’s health, Prostate Revive’s real impact is yet to be determined.
Prostate Revive Ingredients
Prostate Revive contains the following ingredients per serving: Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol (1000 IU), Vitamin E as d-alpha tocopherol succinate (75 IU), Zinc as citrate (10 mg), Selenium from amino acid chelate (200 mcg), Copper from amino acid chelate (3 mg), Plant sterols (600 mg, out of which Beta Sitosterol 240 mg), Saw Palmetto Berry Extract (300 mg), Pomegranate Fruit Extract (200 mg), Boswellia Gum Extract (100 mg), Pumpkin Seed Powder (100 mg), Pygeum Africanum Bark (100 mg), Stinging Nettle Root Powder (60 mg), Flower Pollen (30 mg), Hydrangea Root Powder (25 mg), Lycopene 5% (15 mg). Other ingredients: Vegetable Capsule (cellulose ethers), Rice Flower. It also contains Soy.
While it does benefit from positive reviews, public opinion is mainly divergent when it comes to the Prostate Revive complex from Medix Select. Many clients report no improvement whatsoever in terms of bladder control, urine stream, PSA or frequent night urinations.
One of the most worrisome aspects of Prostate Revive is the copper content of the product, despite the all-natural brand marketing and “veggie capsules” term used on the bottle. The supplement contains roughly 50% more than the daily recommended dosage, although expert opinions sometimes recommend less than 1 mg every day for an adult, which would put the mentioned dose at 300% more copper than normal. Scientific research indicates that as little as 10 mg of copper daily can cause adverse reactions and high toxicity in human anatomy. Furthermore, caution is highly advised for people that suffer from diarrhea, as taking copper supplements might lead to severe side effects. This being said, natural medicine has bested pharmaceuticals many a time and the active components contained in Medix Select’s formula might prove to be an adequate solution to certain prostate conditions. Moreover, the high content of antioxidants delivered through the plant extracts are likely to aid with inflammations, which would support using the product for prostate gland swelling.
Considering the daily recommended dosage is two capsules a day, Prostate Revive is a fairly high-priced supplement, particularly since there are no solid research findings to corroborate its manufacturer’s claims. Accounting for the health risks and potential side effects, consulting a healthcare specialist before taking this product should not be optional.
- Formula containing alternative medicine proven ingredients.
- Some customers show improvement after using the product regularly for long periods of time.
- It also contains essential vitamins and minerals.
- High-price for the amount of capsules.
- No scientific studies to prove its effectiveness.
- There have been consistent customer complaints against the manufacturer.
The mixed customer reviews concerning Prostate Revive might cause reluctance regarding the decision of whether to try the product or not. Unsure regarding effectiveness when compared to other formulas intended for the same purpose, but definitely superior in price, the supplement’s lack of a solid free trial offer makes it even more so undesirable for new clients to try out.
As pointed before, Prostate Revive contains a relatively large amount of copper, whether intended or not, and this should make customers consult a healthcare professional before using it for longer periods of time.
Still, the consistent in-take of beta sitosterol and saw palmetto extract might prove to be particularly effective for those experiencing inflammation of the prostate gland. On the other hand, the lack of scientific studies conducted on its main ingredients calls for clinical trials to prove its efficiency over prostate-related issues. The fact that some plants are widely employed by alternative medicine as beneficial does not guarantee they will work on everyone.
All things considered, Prostate Revive might have a positive impact, but you should be prepared to spend a significant amount of money on a supplement which doesn’t guarantee to solve your issue.
