Nature’s Plus Tranquility Review – 8 Essential Things to Know
Tranquility is presented as an herbal formula designed to help people who suffer from sleeping disorders caused by stress, diet deficit of vitamins, minerals or trace elements and lifestyle disruption.
The manufacturer is Nature’s Plus, a company with almost 40 years of market experience and a producer of herbal and non-herbal remedies for a variety of health conditions and disorders (bones, circulation system, urinary system, eyes, heart, reproduction system, etc).
The manufacturer claims that Tranquility owes its beneficial properties to the unique combination of L-Tryptophan (in a very high dose), Magnesium-Calcium, Valerian and Chamomile, although it brings no evidence to support these claims.
The combination of ingredients available in the supplement offers relaxation to stressed people who encounter difficulties in falling asleep or are having a restless sleep.

1) What is Tranquility?
Tranquility is a combination of herbs, minerals and proteins.
L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid found in many plant and animal proteins. It has been traditionally used in alternative medicine for the effect it has in helping with sleep and insomnia problems, depression, attention deficit disorder, smoking cessation and other conditions. However, L-tryptophan has been linked to a wide spectrum of serious side effects and is considered possibly unsafe when taken orally. FDA has not approved all the uses of this amino-acid.
Magnesium and calcium are complementary minerals and work in symbiosis. Their most known beneficial effects are in helping the body fight against nervousness, anxiety and fatigue and increasing the level of serotonin. Serotonin is the essential neurotransmitter which facilitates brain’s control over the sleep process.
2) Ingredients of Tranquility
Tranquility formula includes the following ingredients: Calcium (as soy amino acid chelate/complex), Magnesium (as soy amino acid chelate/complex), Milk Protein Concentrate (containing 10 mg of naturally occurring L-Tryptophan), Valerian (Valeriana officinalis root), Chamomile (Matricaria recutita flower).
3) Does Tranquility Work?
Tranquility is a mixture of herbal extracts and minerals. This product is claimed to help with reducing stress and anxiety so that a person can get the rest that he needs.
Both Valerian Root and Chamomile are commonly advertised as two effective ingredients in promoting calmness and relaxation. For instance, Valerian Root has been used since the ancient Greece and Rome as a pain reliever, anticonvulsant, sedative and migraine treatment. Due to its tranquilizing properties, many scientists believe there is a connection between Valerian and the GABA neurotransmitter receptor system.
Tranquility appears to contain several essential minerals (Calcium and Magnesium) but it necessary to point out that this product is not meant to replace a healthy diet.
The recommended dose of Tranquility is one capsule per day. It is recommended to take it in the morning with food. Women who are pregnant or nursing and those who take any form of medications should talk about the use of Tranquility with their doctor first.
There are testimonials about Tranquility posted online. What is being reported includes the following:
Best sleep supplement out there
Great value
I won’t use anything else
4) Tranquility: Pros and Cons
- The formula contains minerals useful for the overall health of the body
- Affordable price (approximately $10 for a 90 capsules bottle)
5) Precautions of Tranquility Use
- The supplement is not FDA approved
- Few consumer reviews available
- Contains L-Tryptophan which can be dangerous taken in the wrong combinations
- Lack of general information on product side effects, mechanism of action, etc.
6) How Much Does Tranquility Cost?
Each bottle of Tranquility contains 90 capsules, which is enough to last for three months of treatment. Tranquility is expensive compared with other similar supplements. However, the price can vary based on where you buy it from.
7) Directions For Taking Tranquility
Chamomile and Valerian are common ingredients in products promoting sleep or sleep related effects, due to their known sedative effects. However, if taken in excessive amounts, they may have side effects. The recommended dose is one capsule a day.
8) Our Final Take On Tranquility
Tranquility is advertised as a way to achieve a restful sleep and is designed for people suffering from the main negative consequence of a stressful, unbalanced life. As chronically stress is becoming an increasingly more common problem of modern men and women, new products which are advertised as useful in controlling the short and long term damages emerge.
Nature’s Plus is basing their product marketing on the L-Tryptophan ingredient. This product promotes restful sleep by increasing the level of serotonin thus stimulating the brain to relax and rest.
However, precaution is advised, since the manufacturer does not mention anything about clinical trials conducted on the product or its ingredients, interactions with other drugs or contraindications. It is our recommendation to consult a healthcare professional before consuming the supplement.
Cognitive health is a journey that will challenge you to make meaningful lifestyle changes: get plenty of sleep, eat nutritious whole foods, exercise, and think about supplements that specifically help you feel calm and focused.

I’ve tried melatonin, valerian, skullcap & passion flower. They are okay if you take about 4; meaning you have to take a bunch to get the full effects. With Nature’s Plus Tranquility, all you need is two and you’re sleepy. Love it!
Amazing how this works! Melatonin doesn’t/ Tryptophan doesn’t. I fall asleep sooner and my sleep quality is 90%. Have tried most other products on the market. Have been using it for 5 years now.
