MentalBright Review – 8 Reasons Why
MentalBright is a nootropic drug advertised as an all-natural brain supplement with benefits on memory, alertness, focus, concentration, and mental clarity. The company that developed this formula is Mental Sharp, LLC. The business was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Texas. According to Mental Sharp, MentalBright’s team has received the support of Dr. Mitchell (a chiropractor in the greater Houston area) during the development process for this particular brain supplement.
The supplement is claimed to be the result of intensive scientific research and it is based on the science behind the supplements industry, focusing particularly on those nutrients that benefit the brain the most. It is advertised to contain adequate dosages of each active ingredient capable to effectively support the numerous processes that take place in the human brain. The result was a “unique formulation dedicated to deliver essential nutrients that increase brain productivity and performance.”
It is worth mentioning that the company hasn’t held back any information from the public regarding the ingredients used and the overall MentalBright’s formulation. The official website is clean, easy to read, and helpful when comes to finding the right information. They offer extensive customer support, which is more than welcomed.

1) MentalBright Quick Facts
MentalBright contains Huperzine A, an alkaloid specific from the Chinese club moss species. The extract has been used traditionally to reduce fever and swelling. Scientific research has revealed several other benefits of this plant, including the ability to enhance immune and cognitive function, and the ability to reduce oxidative stress. The brain-related benefits are owed to its property to act as a Cholinesterase inhibitor, meaning that the plant extract prevents the breakdown of Acetylcholine (an important neurotransmitter necessary for the support of healthy memory function, learning, and alertness). Low levels of Acetylcholine have been associated with poor memory, forgetfulness, and short-term memory lapses. It has been observed that the levels of this neurotransmitter in patients suffering from dementia are up to 90% lower than in healthy people.
However, while the benefits of Huperzine A are quite obvious, the extract has been associated with several side effects. The most common ones include nausea, blurred vision, sweating, restlessness, cramping, muscle contraction, high blood pressure, and slow heart rate.
Another key ingredient in MentalBright’s formula is Vinpocetine, an herbal extract from the periwinkle plant Vinca minor. This particular ingredient has gained a lot of popularity in the past 40 years and it’s been used on a large scale as a brain booster and neuroprotective agent.
Chemicals found in this herbal extract are believed to assist in maintaining a healthy brain blood flow, healthy blood vessels and brain cells by enhancing oxygen levels and nutrient uptake in those areas. Some researchers suggest that Vinpocetine is also effective in preventing Alzheimer’s disease. The substance acts by inhibiting production of a certain enzyme (phosphodiesterase) and reducing the levels of intracellular calcium both known to affect blood vessels causing them to narrow and thus reducing blood flow.
Common side effects caused by Vinpocetine are nausea, sleep disturbances, dizziness, headache, and nervousness.
MentalBright is one of the latest nootropic drugs, and therefore there are very few reviews of the product. This is not necessarily a bad thing, and we are confident that more reviews will appear online soon.
It is worth mentioning that the company offers a so-called “110% Money Back Guarantee” on all purchased. Basically, if you buy the product and you are not happy with the results, you can return it for a full refund, plus an extra 10% of the purchase price (shipping costs are not included in this offer).
2) MentalBright Ingredients
MentalBright contains the following ingredients: Alpha GPC, Caffeine, Choline Bitartrate, Huperzine A, and Vinpocetine.
3) What Does MentalBright Do?
Alpha GPC is a natural choline compound naturally found in the brain. The substance can also be achieved from various dietary sources or supplements. The importance of this chemical comes from its ability to facilitate production of Acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter considered essential for normal brain function. The main benefits attributed to Alpha GPC are in supporting cellular health, enhancing cognitive function (particularly memory and attention) and preventing cognitive decline associated with aging. Alpha GPC based drugs are also used in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. However, the results revealed in human studies are not considered conclusive, and further research is still necessary. The substance is considered likely safe when used in appropriate dosage but may cause some moderate side effects like a headache, sleeping problems, confusion, or skin rash.
Choline Bitartrate is also a natural form of Choline that appears to have positive effects on brain metabolism. Optimal levels of acetylcholine are credited to result in improved long term and short term memory, higher focus and mental alertness and reduced mood swings. The most common side effects associated with the use of excessive Choline Bitartrate are body odor, headaches, and depression. The recommended dose for this type of supplements varies from 500 to 2,000 mg per day, depending on the purpose for which it is administered. The maximum dose is appropriate for those with low acetylcholine levels who want to boost production of this neurotransmitter.
MentalBright side effects are not mentioned on the official page. MentalBright reviews are also unavailable at the moment, probably because this is a relatively new product on the market. The suggested dosage is two capsules per day in the morning, preferably with food.

5) MentalBright Warnings and Precautions
- A bottle of MentalBright costs around $42.95, which is a bit expensive compared to other brain supplements. However, the company offers some discounts for larger purchases;
- Mental Sharp, LLC is a relatively new company in the field of brain supplementation. Many potential customers will see this as a disadvantage;

6) How Much Does MentalBright Cost?
The formula is available for online purchase from the official product site. A month’s supply comes at a relatively high price. The manufacturer also offers the possibility to purchase two bottles of the formula for a small discount. Shipping is available only on the US territory. 7) Directions For Taking MentalBright
MentalBright is promoted as a gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and nut free-product. The formula is also suited for vegetarians and vegans. The combination of this supplement with any other prescription medication is not advised unless precautionary measures are taken. Users should keep in mind that MentalBright is not an FDA-approved product, but this is not uncommon with dietary supplements.
8) Our Final Take On MentalBright
MentalBright is a nutritional formula advertised as unique among brain supplements. Each of the active ingredients has been researched and there is some evidence that these substances work through specific mechanisms to enhance brain function and maintain cognitive health. Three of the key ingredients have been shown to increase the levels of the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine, a natural chemical that supports proper function of the brain.
There are many other nootropic brain supplements available on the market that promises the same or similar benefits. However, MentalBright has received mostly positive testimonials and the science behind the formula seems to support the manufacturer’s claims. Therefore, we believe that MentalBright may be a good solution for those seeking to improve their cognitive abilities.
Cognitive health is a journey, and we understand that exercise, a healthy diet, and the right support system are necessary steps toward achieving that goal. But so are products that may help bring you focus.

MentalBrigh nutritional supplement is sold as a potent Nootropic that combines the therapeutic effects of 5 active ingredients: Alpha GPC, Caffeine, Huperzine A, Choline Bitartrate, and Vinpocetine. The formula is offered by Mental Sharp, a company founded in 2013 and located in Texas.
The main advertised benefits of this brain supplement are: increased memory, recall, focus, concentration, mental clarity, resulting in an enhanced overall brain performance and productivity. MentalBrigh ingredients have been clinically researched and shown to be beneficial in increasing the levels of Acetylcholine, supporting a healthy brain metabolism, and promoting healthy blood circulation in the brain. MentalBrigh side effects are not specifically mentioned, but some adverse reactions may result from the combination of the active ingredients (each with its specific unwanted effects). MentalBrigh reviews were unavailable at the time of this writing.
MentalBright dietary formula is described as a risk-free proprietary blend of active nutrients that will assist consumers in boosting their mental performance and maintaining optimal brain health. The formula is also promoted as a unique combination of natural substances, tested and verified, but final data do not support this information. However, there is evidence that MentalBright ingredients have been individually researched for their benefit on the nervous system and brain. Although results are promising for most of them, most of the results are not unanimously agreed upon. Further research is recommended to many of the health claims for which these supplements are prescribed for.
MentalBright is advertised as free of common allergens, but information about added preservatives or artificial substances is not available. Given the fact that this is an unapproved product (like most dietary supplements) and a relatively new formula (launched approximately one year ago), it is highly recommended to consult a healthcare practitioner before starting to use it.
Best brain supplement I have ever taken. And ive tried them all haha
I bought this supplement to help me during my final exams. It has worked great for me. I am now able to stay concentrated for longer periods of times, learn and recall a lot more information than before. I also recommended it to my colleagues, who noticed similar benefits. Great supplement!
I love this formula because it was very effective in my case. I take it before starting my day of work, and it keeps me alert and focused all day long. And my doctor also approved its use, so I am not concerned about any dangerous side effect.
Hi Lucy,
MentalBright contains a lot of Alpha GPC and a lot of choline bitartrate. The caffeine content is also a concern. Too much caffeine can make you anxious, jittery, and a lot of caffeine can actually hinder your ability to focus.
