Hyland’s Homeopathic Headache Review – 8 Reasons To Consider
Headache is a traditional homeopathic formula for the relief of symptoms of head pain due to stress and sick or nervous headache, according to its webpage. This herbal remedy is manufactured by Hyland’s, a Los Angeles pharmaceutical company founded in 1903. The company develops and produces a large product line that spans more than 3,500 natural supplements for many different ailments.
Hyland’s sells its products via many of their retailers but we were unable to find any Money Back Guarantee option or trial samples for this supplement.
The company claims Headache stimulates healing, leading to a faster decrease in pain intensity. The product is recommended for people that often develop headaches due to stress, being sick or having to concentrate for long periods of time. It is suggested that people that suffer from migraines can also benefit from this formulation.

1) Headache at a Glance
Headache contains several natural herbal extracts but we have found two of these extracts as being particularly interesting.
Iris Versicolor can be used to treat goiters, eczema and syphilis. However, it may be toxic for humans, even in very small amounts. According to the producing company, Iris Versicolor was added into the formula due to its helpful properties in treating neuralgia occurring in the morning, beginning around the eyes and eventually involving the whole face, useful in frontal headaches with nausea.
The second ingredient is Belladonna. Many people may recognize this herb as a classic poison (it has been used in the past due to its toxic properties). Its deadly character is due to the presence of Atropine (an alkaloid). However, according to some recent studies, Belladonna may be useful in the treatment of eye diseases.
It is not uncommon for homeopathic remedies to include ingredients that are otherwise considered harmful, this working according to the principle of “like cures like”. These substances are normally added in very small amounts, to ensure that they do not have negative effects on customers. Caution is still advised, however, seeing as children and pregnant women could suffer drawbacks from such products.
2) Headache Nutrition Facts
Headache contains: Iris Versicolor 3X HPUS, Gelsemium Sempervirens 3X HPUS, Ipecac 3X HPUS, and Belladonna 6X HPUS (In a Base of Lactose, USP).
3) Is Headache Right for You?
Headache “stimulates your body’s natural healing response to relieve symptoms,” according to the product description. And according to one website where the product is sold, “Iris vers – helpful for neuralgia occurring in the morning, beginning around the eyes and eventually involving the whole face, useful in frontal headaches with nausea. Gelsemium – relieves a headache accompanied by sore neck and shoulders. Ipecac – for symptoms when bones of the skill feel crushed or bruised. Pain extends to teeth and root of the tongue. Belladonna – for right sided throbbing headaches, sometimes similar to a migraine.” However, we could not find sufficient evidence to support how this is done or how effective it has been in trials.
Headache is marketed as a traditional homeopathic formula for the relief of symptoms of head pain due to stress and sick or a nervous headache. They state in the product description that the pain may be either right or left sided and may extend to the base of the neck. This is a common form of a headache that people seek treatment for, so it is apparently targeting such symptoms.

7) Suggested Use
The recommended dosage for adults is 2-3 tables every four hours, or as needed. Due to the content of Belladona and Iris Versicolor, it is strongly recommended avoiding going above the suggested dosage.
8) Bottom Line – Does It Really Work?
We believe the company’s statements are too bold as we were unable to find any studies or test to support their claims. According to its makers, Headache is intended to provide relief of headaches on the left and right side of the head that extend to the neck for people who report the association of stress with physical pain, illness and strain.
This product is a mixture of herbal remedies, some of the ingredients being well known for theirbeneficialproperties. However, the supplement also contains several ingredients with powerful poisonous qualities of which background wasn’t fully researched or understood.
Headache may or may not be the best supplement for you. We recommend considering adding a program to help you with calm, focus, and more.
