Homeopathic DHEA is advertised as a homeopathic remedy based on the properties of the hormone dehydroepiandrosterone or DHEA. Although the manufacturer Blue Roc makes no ailment or benefit claims whatsoever, DHEA is particularly known to promote enhanced mental and physical energy, boost mood and foster an overall feeling of well being. The formula is said to be free from the most common allergens, including starch, lactose, wheat, yeast, corn, other cereals, gluten, and dairy products as well as artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.

Golden Glow is a company headquartered in Australia. It manufactures and distributes worldwide 6 products developed using homeopathic medicinal principles. The manufacturer claims that all company products are manufactured according to the rules and regulations set forth in the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Also, the products are packaged in TGA (Therapeutic Goods Authority) approved facilities. However, the company does not disclose further information regarding the location of these facilities. The fact that the company offers no details about its background and history, exact location of its headquarter and manufacturing facilities, makes it difficult for us to assess its credibility.

DHEA is a powerful hormone and is not recommended to children and pregnant women. Homeopathic DHEA should be used by adults only.

Facts

1) Homeopathic DHEA Quick Facts

Homeopathic DHEA features a single ingredient, particularly the hormone called DHEA or dehydroepiandrosterone.

DHEA is naturally manufactured by the body in the adrenal glands. Later, it breaks down in the body into testosterone and estrogen in men, respectively in women. Because DHEA can affect how the hormones estrogen (in women) and testosterone (in men) works in the body, caution is recommended when using DHEA, especially for those who are aware of having a condition which might be made worse by exposure to these hormones.

Limited published large scale research on humans has been conducted regarding DHEA’s effects; however, numerous animal and small scale humans trials have been conducted over the past few decades. Findings of these studies seem to indicate a 50 mg DHEA oral dose taken daily may significantly enhance the immune function of healthy individuals. Another study conducted on women and men aged 40 to 70 years old who received a 50 mg daily dose of DHEA for 6 months revealed that more than half of the participants experienced an increase in sleep, mood and perceived physical and psychological well-being. Other therapeutic uses include depression, adrenal fatigue and weight loss, but evidence is limited.

Homeopathic DHA uses the same homeopathic angle as BHI Calming.

What’s Inside?

2) What’s Inside Homeopathic DHEA?

Homeopathic DHEA includes the following ingredient: Dehydro-epi-androsterone (DHEA=3B-Hydroxyandrost-5en-17on) 6X.

3) Is Homeopathic DHEA Right for You?

Homeopathic DHEA was designed to help the body maintain elevated levels of this hormone.

DHEA stands for Dehydroepiandrosterone. Peaking at adult age, DHEA levels continually decrease as an individual gets older. Because of this, supplementation with this hormone is said to offer many benefits to middle-aged individuals. At the age of 60, DHEA levels found in the blood are 75% lower compared to a young person. This steroid may promote fat loss and lean muscle gain, aid the immune system and maintain healthy blood sugar levels. Low levels of DHEA are common among people suffering from anorexia, AIDS and type III diabetes. Some heart diseases have also been linked to deficiencies of this steroid. Although some animal studies have shown that it can prevent the development of cancer, other scientists have suggested exactly the opposite. As supplementation with DHEA can lead to increased levels of androgens and estrogens in the body, the risk of prostate, breast, ovarian or any other form of cancers influenced by hormone levels, is increased.

Nevertheless, DHEA can effectively improve and maintain one’s health if it is taken correctly. As with any other hormonal supplement, incorrect dosing leads to problems. The manufacturer recommends consulting a physician before taking this supplement. Adults may take 1 to 3 tablets three times a day.

Suggested Use

7) Suggested Use

Bottom Line

8) Our Bottom Line

Featuring an important body hormone, Homeopathic DHA is able to assist with numerous body processes, although not all benefits of DHA can be supported by scientific evidence. Negative publicity has been made during recent years as DHEA was involved in several athletes doping cases. However, DHEA’s benefits on health should not be ignored. There are no consumer reviews available to validate the formula’s benefits, and the manufacturer offers extremely little information on the product. If we exclusively consider the existing research on DHEA, we may assume that Homeopathic DHEA will work and determine some results for certain consumers. No guarantees can however be made, and we recommend that you seek specialized advice before use.

I have not experienced any improvements in my mood or energy levels when taking DHEA, although I have been told it works wonders. Perhaps this is not for me.
