This includes Woodland Publishing, one of the largest and oldest publishers of books on health, medicine, and diet.

3) Does Focus For Children Work?

Each chewable tablet has phosphatidylserine, Griffonia simplicifolia (bean extract), DMAE, and L-Tyrosine. They also contain blueberry, grape, stevia leaf extract, and natural flavors. Note that this product may cause drowsiness and should only be used under adult supervision. You should talk to your child’s doctor before buying Focus For Children.

Griffonia simplicifolia bean comes from a woody shrub native to western and central Africa. Its seeds are used in herbal supplements for the 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) content. 5-HTP is used by the human body as a building block, forming the neurotransmitter serotonin. It may also reduce anxiety, improve mood, and help control appetite. How much Griffonia simplicifolia someone needs depends on weight, although the optimal dose is still unknown. A child (30 to 100 lbs) will usually need 55 to 185 mg Griffonia (or 11 to 37 mg 5-HTP). This Solaray supplement contains 50 mg of Griffonia. The other ingredients should work well with Griffonia, to provide a well rounded result, in line with what many nootropics promise. Griffonia has also been used in African folk medicine for diarrhea, stomachache, vomiting, and more.

4) Focus For Children Benefits & Results

[TIaffiliatelink]

  • Chewable tablets means no difficult to swallow pills. They’re easy to ingest.
  • Few, if any, side effects. For most children this appears to have no side effects whatsoever, especially if Focus For Children works for them.

Contraindications

5) Focus For Children Warnings and Precautions

  • A taste children don’t love. Some parents wrote reviews talking about how they couldn’t even evaluate the effectiveness of the product, because their children hated the taste of the tablets.
  • Usually supplements don’t work for 5 to 10 percent of people, because everyone has unique biochemistry. Some supplements just don’t have an effect on some people. However, with this product, the rate seems to be much higher. About a third of reviewers say Focus didn’t work as advertised.
Cost

6) How Much Does Focus For Children Cost?

It’s remarkably inexpensive, especially if you follow the label’s recommendations and give your child 1 tablet a day. If necessary, you can even give them two tablets, and it would still be inexpensive. Focus is sometimes sold as a two pack, although this is often more expensive than buying individual bottles. You can order on Amazon and potentially free shipping as well, further cutting the costs. Solaray is also allegedly sold in over 9,000 health food stores in 60 countries, so you may be able to easily find it in a local store. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a money back guarantee for Solaray.

How To Use

7) How to Use Focus For Children

The phosphatidylserine featured here is actually a Phosphatidyl complex, containing 10 mg of phosphatidylserine. It can be made from cabbage or soy, although it’s produced naturally in the human body and certain foods. Phosphatidylserine is important for improving mental function in people of all ages, since it maintains cellular function in the brain and rest of your body. People don’t tend to encounter side effects until they take a serving of 300 mg or more in one day. Adult supplements tend to use 100 to 200 mg of phosphatidylserine, so 10 mg may not be quite enough for some children, depending on age and weight.

Bottom Line

8) Our Bottom Line

The overall response to Focus For Children is positive, noticeably so. One reviewer said they recommend this product to any child suffering from afflictions like ADD, ADHD, and RAD. However, a number of people have said Focus doesn’t work for their child. If these are more severe cases, it may mean that Focus could be best for mildly unruly children. Rather than ones who might display more advanced qualities of ADHD and the like. It may also be effective for children who aren’t hyperactive in any way, but simply don’t pay enough attention in school. The remedy for lack of focus is often complex, but Focus For Children can help achieve a better life.
