Dalmane (with generic form Flurazepam) is a form of prescription medication claimed to help reduce problems with insomnia and depression. The company behind this product is Valeant Pharmaceuticals, a company with a rich and long history in the world of prescription drugs. They are located in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.

According to its website, the company is described as a “global science-based specialty pharmaceutical company that develops manufacturers and markets pharmaceutical products.”

A complete physical and mental evaluation has to be conducted by a doctor to determine if this medication is right for a patient or not. They may also offer some samples of the drug to see how a patient will react to it.

What’s Inside?

1) What’s Inside Dalmane?

Dalmane or Flurazepam includes the following ingredients: flurazepam hydrochloride, cornstarch, lactose, magnesium stearate, and talc.

2) Does Dalmane Work?

Dalmane is a type of drug that falls into the category of sedative. Its main ingredient is Eszopiclone, which is in a class of drugs described as sedatives or hypnotics.

Due to its nature, this drug may cause sleepiness. While the product is marketed to soothe a restlessness mind, it is not likely to reduce or treat anxiety symptoms as claimed.

Like all prescription drugs, this product has been shown to cause adverse side effects, including continued drowsiness during the daytime, clumsiness, memory loss problems, worsening of depression, aggressive behavior, hallucinations, and agitation.

However, the most common side effects associated with Dalmane are dry mouth and constant headaches.

In some rare cases, this drug is habit-forming. While these exceptions are sporadic, this may be concerning since very few consumers want to take a potentially addictive drug.

Some doctors have tried to circumvent this issue by only offering short-term prescriptions. However, there is no guarantee that addiction can be avoided entirely.

Cost

3) How Much Does Dalmane Cost?

Dalmane is an expensive form of medication. Its generic form, Flurazepam, is cheaper, and it may be a good alternative for those who can’t afford to pay for the brand name. This drug is one of the most expensive forms of prescription medications for insomnia and depression.

Verdict

4) Our Final Take On Dalmane

Dalmane is likely to be appealing to those who want to treat their insomnia and depression. Unfortunately, it is more likely this product will cause sleepiness than reduce anxiety or lessen depression.

If you are looking for treatment for insomnia, this may be a good solution. However, please take into consideration that Dalmane is a prescription medication; it is costly, and possibly habits forming.

There are many alternatives out there. Natural supplements or herbal remedies, for instance, are usually cheaper, gentler, and even more efficient in treating insomnia.

It is now April and it started working fine a month ago. But it took two months for my body to accept it as it use to do.
