Ceregumil Kids is a liquid multivitamin and daily supplement for children. The product and brand of Ceregumil was originally registered in 1912, with the first large scale factory opened in 1921. The product was developed by a pharmacist from Grenada in 1907, as a tonic to combat gastric problems and malnutrition. Their website has been up since 2000. Ceregumil Kids claims to be a complete children’s multivitamin which can aid in proper nutrition and development.

Overview

1) Quick Overview

There are 9 active ingredients, including 7 vitamins and 100 mg of the essential Omega-3 DHA. Children should normally be getting 50 to 100 mg of DHA and EPA a day because of how important Omega-3s are for health and development. Some global organizations have higher numbers, although the overall amount still varies by age. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, for instance, believes most children should have a daily intake of 100 to 250 mg of EPA and DHA.

Ingredients

2) Details on Ceregumil Kids Ingredients and Uses

Ceregumil Kids contains the following ingredients: Purified water, fructose, glycerine, fresh royal jelly, Omega 3 DHA, honey, cherry flavor, potassium sorbate, vitamin c, vitamin E, cochineal extract, thiamine, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin D3 and vitamina B12

3) Does Ceregumil Kids Work?

Each serving has vitamins C, D, and E, along with 3 of the B vitamins. There are also Omega-3 fatty acids (100 mg DHA from an algae source) and 300 mg of fresh royal jelly. Royal jelly is a bit unusual to see in an ingredient list for a supplement. It’s a milky substance that’s made by worker bees to help the development of queen bees. The jelly is normally 60 to 70 percent water, so people taking it for health benefits tend to need a relatively large amount. Royal jelly can be good for you, as it contains proteins, vitamins, and amino acids. The exact amounts vary by bee species and the region they live in. The medical research on royal jelly is unfortunately thin, and there isn’t sufficient evidence for most of its alleged benefits. It could potentially impact asthma, skin disorders, and trouble sleeping, along with strengthening the immune system. This is also one of the potential benefits of Omega-3s. The United States Food and Nutrition Board recommends 700 to 1200 mg of Omega-3s a day for children between the ages of 1 and 13. This equates to 70 to 120 mg of DHA and EPA combined.

Benefits

4) Ceregumil Kids Benefits & Results

  • Contains honey and a cherry flavor for taste. No synthetic colors or flavors. This would also be vegan if it wasn’t for the royal jelly.
  • Liquid instead of solid so children can more easily ingest this supplement. There shouldn’t be any difficulties with swallowing or absorbing the nutrients.

Cautions

5) What You Need to Know Before Taking Ceregumil Kids

  • Not sugar free. There are 8 grams in each serving, although a significant part is probably from the natural honey in this product.
  • Has soy. Many ingredient amounts are fairly low, although this is a product for children so that’s partially to be expected. If your pediatrician recommends more than one serving a day, you might be able to do that as necessary.

Cost

6) How Much Does Ceregumil Kids Cost?

Each bottle lasts for a bit less than a month if you closely follow the product directions. And the younger your child is, the smaller the serving they should have. The company mentions that a one year old should have a 2 mL serving instead of the label’s 10 mL recommendation. So depending on your circumstances, one bottle could last for more than two months. This makes the price plenty reasonable. As a one month supply, the price would be slightly above average, but average for a liquid supplement. Buying two on Amazon, at full price, would also guarantee you free shipping.

How To Take

7) How to Take Ceregumil Kids

DHA is very important for children under the age of 10 because of how it promotes cognitive development. It also aids in heart health, along with eye function and development. Since people don’t tend to get enough essential Omega-3s in their daily diet, supplements serve an indispensable role. Newborns are generally okay with their DHA levels since the Omega-3 is found in breast milk. However, nursing mothers will often need multivitamins which include DHA, simply to ensure that their children are getting the proper amounts of nutrition. Research has always shown how fish oil is effective in a variety of ways, and products like Ceregumil Kids gives those benefits without actually using fish oil. It’s the Omega-3s which count.

Final Thoughts

8) Final Thoughts on Ceregumil Kids

This seems like a good liquid multivitamin that has a great taste. Some kids don’t like the taste, but the parents say they add Ceregumil Kids to juice, and that clears up any issues. Picky eaters don’t seem to mind this, and most children see improvements in focus. Quite a few people have found this product while looking for a B complex vitamin for children. While Ceregumil Kids doesn’t provide the full array of B vitamins, it does provide a lot of other fantastic nutrients. Parents should see short term and long term benefits after giving Ceregumil Kids to their children.

My grandson suffers from chronic asthma to the point of being hospitalised. He is only 5 and he has nearly finished the first bottle, the difference in his health is unbelievable. Half way through the bottle he had a cough and a slight weez but it never amounted to anything worse.
I can’t praise this product enough its fantastic and he takes it every morning without any trouble as he loves the taste.
