Calm-PRT Review – 7 Reasons Why
Calm-PRT is a brain supplement advertised to assist with stress reduction, promote sleep and reduce excitability. The manufacturing company NeuroScience claims the formula works by restoring communication within the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, hence reduce Cortisol and catecholamines release as a response to stress.
NeuroScience is company founded in 1999 and headquartered in the United States. The company specializes in laboratory tests and clinical tools that target the neurological, endocrine and immune systems. Additionally, a dedicated line of products targeting the spectrum of neurotransmitter imbalances has been developed and currently includes more than 50 different products. The company’s official website is comprehensive and offers extensive information on various health conditions and company products.
Because Calm-PRT helps restore a healthy HPA axis, the product is especially suited for patients with elevated levels of epinephrine, Norepinephrine, and Cortisol, but can also be useful for anyone trying to cope with stress.

1) What is Calm-PRT?
Calm-PRT is a combination of herbs, amino acids and other nutrients designed to fight stress. The formula contains Phosphatidylserine, a substance naturally found in the brain in high concentrations. This is a fatty acid believed to play an important role in neuro-transmission. Decreased levels of Phosphatidylserine caused by aging processes or other causes have been linked to memory impairment, depression, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. This is why the substance holds some promise as a potential prevention treatment for these conditions. Phosphatidylserine use may cause insomnia and stomach upset.
Rhodiola Rosea is a remarkable plant with a variety of uses throughout history. Particularly known for its adaptogenic and tonic properties, the plant has been used to strengthen the nervous system and fight depression, improve energy levels and memory, increase sexual function, assist with weight loss and enhance immunity to name just a few of its benefits.
There is ongoing research that seems to indicate Rhodiola helps alleviate symptoms of fatigue, insomnia and anxiety disorders such as post traumatic stress disorder, social phobia and social anxiety. There is concern that Rhodiola Rosea might interfere with blood pressure medication, and hence cause dizziness and vertigo. There is one study which seems to indicate that the plant may worsen symptoms of anxiety, requiring further investigation.
2) What Are Calm-PRT Ingredients?
Calm-PRT includes the following ingredients: Rhodiola Rosea root extract (standardized to 16% rosavins), SerinAid 50P (Phosphatidylserine enriched soy lecithin), Glycine, Taurine, vegetable cellulose (vegetarian capsules), rice flour, and magnesium stearate.
3) Calm-PRT: Pros and Cons
- Calm-PRT contains no wheat, corn, soy, salt, sucrose, starch, yeast, artificial flavors, artificial colorings, or other known allergens
- The main ingredients have been researched and documented evidence of their effectiveness exists
- Generally positive consumer reviews available online
4) Precautions of Calm-PRT Use
- Small number of consumer reviews
- Expensive formula, given that a month’s supply may cost as much as $100
- Caution advised to certain categories of patients
5) How Much Does Calm-PRT Cost?
A bottle of Calm-PRT contains 120 capsules, which should be enough for up to 40 days of treatment at a maximum recommended dosage of 3 capsules per day. This product can be purchased directly from the manufacturer’s website or numerous other online and offline retailers. Some retailers may offer additional discounts, promotions and even free shipping for larger orders. Only unopened bottles that are pre-approved are covered by the 14-day money back guarantee, a rather limited and restrictive policy if we compare it to other manufacturers.
6) Directions For Taking Calm-PRT
The recommended daily dosage of Calm-PRT is 3-4 capsules one to two times daily. Pregnant and nursing women should consult a specialist before use. Consumer experience with the product has generally been positive, however there are several negative opinions posted online.
7) Conclusion
The adrenal glands, and consequently Cortisol, Epinephrine and Norepinephrine play an essential part in the body’s response to stress. When under stress, the adrenal glands start secretion of these hormones which regulate how the body reacts to stress. However, many stressed individuals or those who are subject to long periods of stress have inadequate adrenal Cortisol production which can lead to exacerbated levels of stress. Calm-PRT desires to reduce over secretion and promote a normal, healthy response in stress related conditions. The formula has received positive consumer reviews, although not many. It is likely that the formula will work as advertised, however you should be cautious as some ingredients are known to cause side effects.

Calm-PRT Questions & Answers
- Recent:
Calm-PRT includes the following ingredients: Rhodiola Rosea root extract, SerinAid 50P (Phosphatidylserine enriched soy lecithin), Glycine, Taurine, vegetable cellulose (vegetarian capsules), rice flour, and magnesium stearate.
Manufactured by NeuroScience Inc., Calm-PRT is a nutritional supplement based on natural herbal extracts. The main activity that Calm-PRT has on the brain is related to the hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis. Before taking Calm-PRT supplement you should be aware of the fact that one of its side effects is feelings of anxiety. This is why it would be better if you would discuss with your doctor before taking it.
Calm-PRT may be appealing to those who are looking for a natural way to support and improve their adrenal function and to treat the symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress and fatigue. However, just like many other similar products, the formula also contains potentially dangerous ingredients.
As always, it is recommended to talk to your doctor or health care provider before trying any new type of medication. Even one claimed as being all natural. Knowing that each person is different, we would advise caution in selecting a treatment as the patient’s medical background usually plays a significant role in predicting whether a supplement will work as expected.
I’m very impressed with this product. I’ve tried many other products with minimal results, but this was just as potent as some of the pharma samples my doc gave me. I had no side effects, and after two days was very relaxed and care free. Wish it were cheaper, but I will buy again.
Ive been taking this product with Kavinace for over a year now. and has done wonders for me, is there any bad side effects to this product
I am recovering from lyme disease and upon going off antibiotics I had severe, relentless insomnia. 1-2 hours night of sleep MAX. I tried melatonin, tryptophan, sleepy tea, ashwaganda, valerian, benadryl and probably unsafe large cocktails of all combined.
After a week of no sleep, my naturopathic doctor suggested this and after about 3 days my sleep normalized. I have reduced my dosage and should be off it completely in a month or so. Apparently the disease had really screwed up my HPA regulation and this seems to have corrected it. Expensive – but a miracle drug for me.
It did give me a drunk sort of feeling the first two or three days but I rarely get that feeling now and it is fleeting.
This remedy had the opposite effect on me. Since I have started utilizing it, I became more anxious and nervous and sometimes even aggressive. I don’t know what they are putting in these pills, but I immediately stopped the treatment and swear to never take it again.
It’s true that CalmPRT can have the opposite effect if a lower dose is taken. You really can’t take just 1 at a time it has to be 2 or 3.
I’ve been taking Calm-PRT for a couple of months, and do feel it has helped me. I feel less stressed and more centered. I’m going to sleep a bit earlier and more easily than I had been before, which is good. The two other neuroscience products I tried were terrible for me (Travacor, Adrecor) but this one has been worth it.
This is one of the best products I have ever used. I don’t agree with the article above. I am well versed in neurophysiology and the combo of calm prt and kavinace helped me within days when I had been depressed and near suicidal for many months. You are on these as well as a blend of amino acids for two months and you can climb out of any hole. Thank god for these two supps.
Thank you for your comment. I started taking it a couple of days ago, but ig gave anxiety, then the doctor combined it with Kavinace and it worked just outstanding!! I am happy I dont have to take so many sleeping pills since I discovered Kavinace!
Calm-PRT was recommended to me by my doctor because I couldn’t sleep while going through a very stressful period. It helped me feel more calm and balanced. I could sleep better, without feeling groggy the morning after. I always a bottle in the house for emergency cases, but I’m not sure about taking Calm-PRT daily, without interruptions.
What is the best 2 times to take the 3 CalmPRT. I am not sure and have been told 2 different things from 2 people. I suffer high nighttime cortisol and tend to wake every 2 hrs all night long.
Luann- My cortisol was high at night [about 2-3 oclock i would wake and be unable to go back to sleep sometimes]. My ND found insulin-resistance and recommended dietary changes. I’ve also used calm-prt for nearly 2 yrs. 3-4 capsules before supper [empty stomach] and it helps me destress and wind-down so i can sleep. hate spending so much but cant seem to do without it. what i eat all day seems to be important too- staying away from caffeine helpsj-tho it can be really hard. I also react badly to valerian -which is supposed to be relaxing- it does not help me sleep. hope this helps.
