Facts

1) Prolab Caffeine Quick Facts

The manufacturer claims that Caffeine Pills contain 75 mg of Calcium (from dibasic calcium phosphate) and 200 mg Caffeine. The supplement works by providing the energizing effects in the body hence supporting the training needs of an individual without interfering dietary goals. It triggers a range of performance benefits including elevated alertness, improved focus, faster reaction time, increased endurance, reduced fatigue, and elevated mood. The formula also works by delivering 200mg of caffeine which can jump start physical and mental performance.

Calcium Phosphate ” this mineral compound is added in this formula to increase the absorbance of the original active ingredient, caffeine. However, it has certain powerful benefits on its own. It is used to treat disorders caused by low calcium levels such as a decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets) and bone loss (osteoporosis). It may also be used in certain individuals to make sure they are getting enough supply of calcium (e.g., pregnant, nursing, or postmenopausal women).

Caffeine – The potential effects of caffeine have been debated for a long time. It is a naturally occurring stimulant that boosts the body’s metabolism. Caffeine causes the body to produce more adrenaline, which increases the rate at which fatty acids are converted into muscle energy. However, using caffeine alone has a minor effect on weight loss as it is not entirely absorbed from the gut (therefore Prolab has added Calcium Phosphate to increase the absorbance).

This stuff sucks…. I could take four and it is not effective as a Guayaki yerba mate can. I honestly think it might have lead contamination because I’ve been feeling bad since I started taking it. Either because I have caffeine w/d or something in them.
