Is Brain Boost Right For You?
Brain Boost is advertised as a fun video game that will provide entertainment but, at the same time, will help the player to improve his memory and overall brain function. Majesco developed this video game. The company was founded in 1986 and is now based in Edison, NJ. Majesco, Inc. is a developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment products for a variety of gaming platforms, including Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sega hardware systems.
This video game attempts to draw the Brain Age/Big Brain Academy by touting that the game’s been endorsed by a renowned Japanese brain researcher, Makoto Shichida.
Brain Boost is available in two packs: Beta Wave and Gamma Wave. However, the only thing that separates these two packs is the five different challenges available for each package.

Effectiveness of Brain Boost
As we have stated above, Brain Boost is available in two packs: Beta Wave and Gamma Wave. Beta Wave focuses on concentration challenges: counting bubbles that move and overlap or trying to spot matching objects quickly. Gamma Wave’s is focused on memorization, where all of the games are focused on seeing a set pattern and trying to remember what it was.
All of the games are somehow similar and involves nothing more than answering a certain question with four options, twenty times. The play will receive a rank at the end of the 20th question, a rank that will show how many he got right, but the game never really tracks progress or offers an engaging challenge progression like other similar applications.
Brain Boost Beta Wave and Brain Boost Gamma Wave are almost same. The only difference lays in the five different challenges available for each pack. Presentation, menus, visuals, music and interface are identical for both packs. By separating the two, the developer wants to allow players to purchase a game that focuses on a particular area of the brain (right or left), but in reality, it’s clearly an attempt to milk two games out of a single development.
Overall, this video game remains a simple video game and nothing more. It was designed to offer entertainment, not an active brain enhancement program. While the company claims this video game can help with memory and focus, there are no conclusive trials, researches or tests to support any of these statements.
Brain Boost Price
The cost of Brain Boost may vary from one retailer to another. The game should be available for purchase from both online and offline retailers. In case you want to purchase it from an online retailer, you should take into consideration the shipping costs as well.
Does Brain Boost Work?
All in one, Brain Boost is nothing more than a simple video game. We do not believe this application is able to offer the brain enhancement support that other cognitive training applications can offer. We cannot compare Brain Boost with other popular brain training software such as Lumosity.
If you are seeking an effective brain training program, you may want to keep looking. On the other hand, if you are interested in an entertaining video game, Brain Boost may be a good option.
