Biochem Memory Formula Review – 4 Things You May Not Know
Biochem Memory Formula is a brain supplement advertised as a product specially designed to support a healthy and balanced mind by particularly addressing the memory problems usually associated with aging. This product is manufactured by Country Life and is sold under the Biochem line.
Country Life sells three different brands of supplements promoted as certified gluten-free, vegan, free of GMO’s, kosher, and organic. More so, the manufacturer itself is a GMP certified business and is a strong advocate for using renewable resources and recycled materials as part of their sustainable manufacturing policy. The manufacturer is currently a favorite supplier of a broad spectrum of dietary supplements some of which very well received by consumers (Maxi-Hair and Maxi-Hair Plus, Calcium-Magnesium Complex, Biotin, Coenzyme B-Complex Caps, etc.). Based on these findings we recommend this supplier as capable of providing a large variety of high-quality products for the diversified needs of each consumer.
According to its manufacturer, this product seeks to address the very issues that experts suggest are necessary for improved and continued brain health. Unfortunately, we believe that this formula is not able to solve the one vital problem: high homocysteine levels. This hormone is naturally occurring in the human brain, and extremely elevated levels have been associated with various health concerns (most of them related to cardiovascular and cognitive health). Such an imbalance is considered one of the leading causes of dementia (excess homocysteine levels have been discovered in the brains of patients suffering from this condition).
The formula is currently discontinued, for unknown reasons. There is no information concerning a returning date of the product.

1) Biochem Memory Formula Ingredients
Biochem Memory Formula includes the following ingredients: Citicoline or CDP Choline, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vinpocetine extract, and Huperzine A.
2) Does Biochem Memory Formula Work?
According to the manufacturer, Biochem Memory Formula aims to do two things: augment blood flow to the brain and increasing the bioavailability of Acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that plays a big role in memory and cognitive function. These are two critical qualities in any cognitive enhancer.
This formula contains several unusual ingredients. Citicoline, for instance, was added to help increase the synthesis of Phosphatidylcholine, an essential phospholipid, and cell membrane nutrient. This nutrient helps in the synthesis of Choline, a precursor of Acetylcholine and an important element for the synthesis of other neurotransmitters (Norepinephrine and Dopamine). Based on several recent clinical studies, this substance may be useful as a stand-alone or in combination with other medication designed to alleviate symptoms of neurodegenerative conditions (specifically Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases).
Another key ingredient is Vinpocetine that has been proven to be a sturdy support for improving circulation to the brain. Clinical studies have been shown that Vinpocetine can help increase cognitive health as well, improve recall and alertness, reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mood disturbances, and promote healthy memory in the elderly.
Finally, Huperzine A was added to the formulation to reduce the neurodegeneration that occurs in dementia-related issues, like Alzheimer’s disease. It is believed to work by inhibiting Acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme that inhibits Acetylcholine production and affects brain functions (including memory, alertness, and learning skills). The natural extract seems to act through the same mechanism as many pharmaceuticals offered for the prevention of age-related memory impairment. This substance has shown some positive reviews in several small clinical studies, but its Effectiveness wasn’t fully researched.
Although the side effects of the formula as a whole are not indicated, each of the individual ingredients may have specific adverse reactions. Citicoline can cause excessive sweating, fishy body odor, gastrointestinal discomfort, and vomiting when used in excess. A concern regarding increased risk of colon cancer in people who are under Citicoline rich diets is also a currently researched issue. No evidence is yet available to support or deny this claim. Common side effects associated with Vinpocetine are nausea, dizziness, and increased risk of bleeding. Huperzine A is associated with some unwanted reactions like skin allergic reactions, diarrhea, breathing issues, chest pain, restlessness, etc.
The daily recommended dose of Biochem Memory Formula is two capsules each morning with food.
3) Biochem Memory Formula Cost
A bottle of Biochem Memory Formula contains 60 capsules, which should be enough for one month of treatment at the recommended dosage of 2 capsules per day.
At this time, the formula is not available for purchase from any of the authorized online resellers (although the formula is listed among the commercialized products, the retailers’ official pages categorize it as currently unavailable or discontinued). We have no information whether the product will be available again or when.
4) Our Bottom Line
Biochem Memory Formula may not be a bad cognitive enhancer. This conclusion is based on the fact that the product contains a few interesting ingredients that have been clinically researched for their benefits on overall brain function and memory-related processes. However, the formula does not contain elements or extracts like Vitamin B6 and B12 or Folic Acid, which are crucial in such type of supplements. That said it’s imperative to know what you are looking for in a cognitive enhancer.
Biochem Memory Formula may be effective in addressing some cognitive issues, but if you are looking for a balanced formula that will address each and every aspect of cognitive health, you should look for a complete formula. Keep in mind that at this time the formula is unavailable. Consumers may contact the manufacturer and make an inquiry concerning a potential returning date, similar products available, a reason for discontinuing, etc.

This stuff could have worked if I was really retarded. It didn’t help me at all. I was the same as before taking the pills.
Except for the name this product was just a waste of my time and money. I used it for 3 weeks and it didn’t do anything. I think water would have had a better result than this stuff.
