The ingredients used to make this product includes vitamins A, C, D, E, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, and iron. N the makers of this supplement also claim that besides boosting your cognitive function and mental ability, this supplement provides you with a combination of nutrients that will improve your health in a number of ways. They say it will help you become smarter, faster, and stronger.
Studies that have been carried out on the efficacy of multivitamins in the improvement of cognition have shown mixed results. In a 2008 study published the JAMA Journal, it was established that high doses of vitamin B supplements have no effect of slowing cognitive decline in patients with cognitive degenerative diseases. Another study done in 2013 and published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, established that long-term daily use of multivitamins did not provide any cognitive benefits to male subjects 65 years and older.
In an earlier study done in 2006 on older women and published in the journal, Archives of Internal Medicine, it was established that long-term use of vitamin E supplements had no evident cognitive benefits in generally healthy members of this group. Another study carried out in 2007 and published in the Nutrition Journal, but whose subjects were men and women aged 65 years and above, established that daily multivitamin and multi-mineral supplements had no benefits on cognitive function in this group. However, the authors of this study hypothesized that multivitamin supplements may work for much older people and those at a high risk of nutritional deficiency. However, this requires more research.
