5-HTP Max Review
5-HTP Max is a nutritional supplement advertised as a natural solution for those who want to regulate their appetite and naturally shed the unwanted extra-pounds. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the name of the manufacturing company.
The supplement seems to be based on a single active ingredient, the plant extract 5-Hydroxytryptophan. The compound is considered an effective Serotonin booster. Serotonin is one of the key neurotransmitters in the brain- essential chemicals for inter-neuronal communication. Without proper levels of these brain chemicals the brain stops functioning normally, and various imbalances occur. In the case of Serotonin depletion, the main health concerns resulted refer to mood imbalances (depression, anxiety), increased appetite (resulting in excess weight gain), insomnia, or endocrine malfunction.

5-HTP Max appears to be a single ingredient supplement, although we cannot be 100% sure because a complete list of ingredients is missing at this time. The formula is advertised as a natural dietary source of 5-HTP. This compound is extracted from an African originated plant called Griffonia Simplicifolia. 5-HTP can also be obtained through conversion of Tryptophan, but the amount resulted is much lower than the one present in the herb indicated above.
The main benefits of 5-HTP supplementation come from its ability to increase Serotonin levels directly in the brain. Serotonin, a key neurotransmitter is produced in the intestines and the brain. 90% of the total Serotonin amount is found in the intestines. The Serotonin present in the brain plays an essential role in brain cell communication. So, indirectly 5-HTP affects the emotional balance of a person, appetite, sleeping patterns, body temperature, and other processes. Studies managed to demonstrate that the extract has similar antidepressant benefits to those of certain traditional drugs such as the SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). Research also suggests that 5-HTP can improve symptoms of a condition called Fibromyalgia, such as mood problems, morning stiffness, anxiety, pain, and fatigue, a disease in which Serotonin levels have also been observed to be abnormally low.
- The formula is based on a single active ingredient which is a natural herbal extract
- 5-HTP is a widely researched compound with proven benefits in people suffering from insomnia, mood disorders, or overweight problems
- There’s no indication about the amount of active substance delivered by the formula
- The official site of the manufacturer and its identity are not revealed
Although it looks like a natural remedy suitable for people who are trying to lose weight, 5-HTP Max formula does not seem to be a very popular supplement at the moment. We could not find any online testimonials, even though the number of reviews (such as ours) is quite high. We also find it disturbing that the name of the formula’s manufacturer is not revealed. It makes us think that there is something to hide, why else would they fail to mention such important information?
At the time of this review the formula does not seem to be available for online purchasing any more, although a few links towards an official online retailer are provided. We accessed those links but could not find this supplement among those commercialized by the retailer in question.

5-HTP Max is a nutritional supplement designed to promote healthy weight and support weight loss in those who are facing with an overweight problem. Unfortunately we cannot find the name of the manufacturing company of this supplement.
The main active ingredient in this formula is the herbal extract 5-HTP famous for its Serotonin boosting qualities. The chemical has been shown to effectively increase Serotonin levels within the brain due to its ability to cross the blood brain barrier. Serotonin is a key neurotransmitter responsible for regulating mood, appetite, sleeping patterns, body temperature, and appetite. Overweight and depressive individuals have been shown to have low levels of Serotonin, and an increase in this nutrient improved their symptoms considerably. 5-HTP is the most potent solution for increasing the levels of this neurotransmitter as research suggests. 5-HTP Max is not available for online purchase at this time.
Is 5-HTP Max Review Right For You?
5-HTP Max is a diet pill based on the natural extract of Griffonia Simplicifolia, 5-Hydroxytryptophan. Unfortunately, an official site for its manufacturer does not exist at this time. We were also unable to find what the name of the company is. The official page of the product does not reveal any information about its producer in the “About us section”
5-HTP supplements are very popular at this time. This is because the plat extract seems to be very effective in stimulating the synthesis of a key brain chemical- the neurotransmitter Serotonin. 5-HTP is also naturally obtained from Tryptophan, a compound which is obtainable from various food sources. 5-HTP itself is not available in foods. However, the most abundant source of 5-HTP remains the African climbing shrub Griffonia Simplicifolia.
This formula promises to deliver fast results and is designed for individuals who are desperately searching for a way to lose extra pounds. The formula will also help improve sleeping patterns, and mood. 5-HTP Max is claimed as proven effective in suppressing appetite in 5 clinical studies, but there is no further indication to these studies.

Effectiveness of 5-HTP Max Review
Unfortunately, information about this product is very scarce at the moment. Although we were able to find some sort of official page for this formula (we actually found several pages that look like official presentations of this product), we could not find a complete ingredient list. It appears that the only active ingredient here is 5-HTP, but there is no indication of the amount this product provides.
5-HTP is considered one of the best ways for replenishing Serotonin levels. It is also believed to have a superior potency to any Tryptophan or Serotonin supplements due to the chemical’s ability to effectively cross the blood brain barrier (BBB) where it is actually required. The BBB is a protective membrane that covers the brain and filters the substances that enter the brain. Larger molecules cannot penetrate this membrane so many brain supplements are often ineffective simply because they contain such molecules unable to reach the interior of the brain.
This is not the case of 5-HTP which has been shown to increase Serotonin levels within the brain. Serotonin is also known as the “mood neurotransmitter” and its main functions refer to the regulation of sleeping patterns and body temperature, maintenance of emotional balance, curbing the appetite, and controlling muscle contraction and endocrine function. Low Serotonin levels are associated with increased appetite which can lead to overweight which can further lead to depression. It has been shown that by increasing the levels of this essential brain chemical to adequate values the food cravings will be reduce, which leads to a natural weight-loss.

Does 5-HTP Max Review Work?
5-HTP Max formula looks like a simple dietary supplement whose benefits are based on the therapeutic properties of a single ingredient. Our main disappointment comes from the fact that there is very little information about the formula or its manufacturer. We also couldn’t find out what is the daily amount of 5-HTP provided by this supplement, an essential information when it comes to evaluating its effectiveness. However, the amount of scientific data regarding the active chemical is very abundant, and evidence behind 5-HTP strongly supports its abilities to increase Serotonin in the brain, and its benefits on appetite and mood.
