Summary

1) What is ZenMind?

ZenMind is based on a combination of two amino acids GABA and L-Theanine in a combination designed to support relaxation.

Gamma Amino Butyric Acid is an amino acid that acts as an important neurotransmitter. It is the most important inhibitory neurotransmitter and works to prevent the over-firing of nerve cells, thus maintaining and promoting a calming effect. It is mostly used to treat conditions affecting the nervous system like depression, anxiety, ADHD and epilepsy. Evidence suggests that when combined with Inositol and Niacin (vitamin B3), GABA helps relieve stress and anxiety related impulses from reaching the brain. High doses may cause some side-effects such as anxiety, tingling in the extremities and shortness of breath. A daily dosage of GABA has not been established.

L-Theanine is extracted from green tea leaves and has been marketed as a supplement for more than 50 years.
Although research is still in progress, Theanine is believed to have psychoactive properties. In addition, it can easily cross the blood-brain barrier and acts to reduce stress and improve mood and cognition. There is evidence that it might stimulate the production of Serotonin in humans, hence it may determine happiness and comfort feelings. Long term safety and side effects are not systematically studied.

3) Does ZenMind Work?

ZenMind is presented as a natural dietary supplement that has a core combination of two amino acids that support relaxation and also sustains brain health, dealing with issues regarding memory, attention, or anxiety.

One of the main ingredients found in this blend is GABA, which is a chemical that is manufactured in the brain and is a neurotransmitter that can be taken to treat several problems regarding brain health; attention deficit-hyperactivity disorders or anxiety are treatable with this substance. GABA is also used by some people to improve mood and promote lean muscle growth, fat burning, and stabilizing blood pressure.

L-Theanine is another amino acid that is found in this product and can be found mainly in green tea. The most common uses for this amino-acid are treating anxiety and high blood pressure. It is also used for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. Some clinical trials have also shown that L-Theanine could also improve health when dealing with certain types of cancer.

Does it Work

8) Bottom Line – Does It Really Work?

ZenMind is offered as a natural alternative to traditional sedatives. It promotes relaxation through a combination of two amino acids popular for their calming effects. The formula is hypoallergenic and vegetarian, making it accessible for a large number of patients. The formula may potentially work if we look at the research conducted on the main ingredients. However, you must be aware that certain benefits have not been scientifically proven. Side effects and potential safety issues are associated to the formula, as the manufacturer mentions.

We could not find a sufficiently large number of product reviews to draw a conclusion regarding the product’s effectiveness. This is the reason why we strongly advise you to further research Zen Mind and ask the opinion of a healthcare provider before use.
