TriVita Sublingual B12 is a supplement designed to help restore the energy level, improve concentration capacity and sharpen memory through a special sub-lingual delivery system (the tablets slowly dissolve under the tongue).

The manufacturing company, TriVita, is a Scottsdale, Arizona (U.S.) based company. It promotes and markets health and wellness products, such as vitamins for children and adults, nutrition or weight-loss products. The company functions on a multi-level-marketing business model. However, the official website fails to provide information on company history and potential medical research on the products.

TriVita Sublingual B12 use suggested is by placing one pill under the tongue and allowing it to dissolve. The manufacturer claims this is a patented formula that facilitates the absorption of B vitamins into the bloodstream, without an injection or swallowing a pill.

TriVita Sublingual B12 Ingredients

TriVita Sublingual B-12 contains the following ingredients: Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL), Folate (as folic acid), Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), Biotin, Mannitol, Sorbitol, Alphaketoglutarate, Stearic acid, Natural flavor, Malic acid, Magnesium stearate, Silica, Stevia leaf extract, and Sodium starch glycolate.

Product Features

TriVita Sublingual B12 is a complex of vitamins and acids combined into a unique formula which delivers B vitamins into the blood stream in a much more powerful way than swallowed tablets.

Whereas it is acknowledged that the B6 vitamin plays an big part in the biosynthesis of four important neurotransmitters (serotonin, epinephrine, norepinephrine and GABA), and that B-9 helps synthesize and repair DNA, produces healthy red blood cells, the manufacturer does not explain why and how the combination of the three vitamins actually works to sustain the product benefit claims.

Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that helps the nerves and red blood cells stay healthy.
Deficiency of vitamin B-12 causes fatigue, weakness, nausea, constipation, irritability, loss of appetite, even more severe disorders such as dementia or incontinence.

The recommended dose of TriVita Sublingual B12 is two capsules daily, one in the morning and one at noon, placed under the tongue, not swallowed. Consumers have expressed mixed reviews regarding its effectiveness and occurrence of side-effects.

TriVita Sublingual B12 is a dietary supplement designed to provide the nutritional support the body needs to increase energy levels and stamina, increase mental clarity and facilitate emotional balance.

The manufacturer makes several references to studies which support the claimed benefits of TriVita Sublingual B-12, stating there are conclusive results that this formula is easily absorbed into the bloodstream. However, medical research for this product specifically is not provided, but the manufacturer claims that the product features physician-approved formulas and a third-party testing and certification.

Also, the producer states that side effects are rare and are most-often related to an allergy associated with another ingredient in the dietary supplement. Consumer testimonials mention experiencing depression-related symptoms and physical weakness. As a precautionary measure it is recommended that a physician be consulted before starting using the product.

I have heard and read that folic acid causes prostate cancer. Yet it seems that many products have it as their folate ingredient. I am getting old enough to need folate with out it being its synthesized form called folic acid.
What do I do now? I’m really concerned about getting to much of this substance in my blood stream called folic acid.
