The manufacturer of Triphala advertises the product to be a gentle and potent internal cleansing formulation, based on one of India’s most powerful combination of herbs: Triphala. Goldshield Elite, the company which manufactures this formula, claims that the product improves blood circulation and digestion, support the liver function, reduce inflammation, and purify the blood. Triphala has been used by Ayurvedic medicine practitioners for thousands of years to promote the health of the digestive system and to naturally detoxify the body and restore energy balance. In addition to its internal cleansing properties, Triphala is sometimes prescribed to relieve nasal congestion, balance blood sugar levels, and improve skin conditions.

Goldshield Elite is a world renowned distributor of dietary supplements and home care products. The company’s product portfolio currently includes various formulas which address numerous health concerns (weight loss, cardiovascular health, the digestive system, the liver function, nutrition, the immune system, and gender specific conditions among others). Through direct selling operations, the company distributes the products of three different manufacturers (W.T. Rawleigh Products, Achievers Unlimited and Changes International), some of which have been active for as long as 150 years.

Triphala is recommended for the use of adults. Patients with a pre-existing medical condition, as well as pregnant and nursing women are advised to consult a physician prior to use.

Triphala Ingredients

Triphala contains the following ingredients: Emblica officinalis, Terminalia belerica, and Terminalia chebula.

Product Features

Triphala features three Indian fruits, in equal portions: Emblica officinalis (Amalki), Terminalia Belliricia (Bibhitaki), and Terminalia Chebula (Haritaki).

Emblica officinalis (Amalki) is also known as Amla or Indian Gooseberry. According to Indian Tradition, Emblica officinalis was the first tree created in the world. The tree’s fruits have been credited for a large number of benefits. They have been used to support the immune system and increase defense against disease. Also, the active constituents of these fruits may prove effective against heart problems, ulcer, anemia, diabetes, liver problems and cancer among others. Other therapeutic prescriptions use Amla as an antioxidant, analgesic, memory-enhancer, anti-microbial, and anti-tussive.

Terminalia Chebula (Haritaki) is also one of the most popular Ayurvedic remedies. With a wide range of therapeutic applications including laxative, astringent, nervine, rejuvenating, expectorant, appetite stimulant, tonic, and carminative, Haritaki has managed to gain an increasing popularity in the western world as well. Current medicinal indications include constipation and diarrhea, cholesterol, conjunctivitis, sore throat, intelligence enhancer, and asthma among others.

Terminalia Belliricia (Bibhitaki) is widely used as a stomach tonic and digestive aid in general, alleviate coughs, promote sleep, against cardiac disorders, ulcers and hemorrhage, alleviate stress, and stimulate the liver to mention only a few of its benefits.

The suggested daily dose is 2 to 4 caplets. There are no consumer reviews posted online.
