Stress Relief is a tablet supplement which aims to provide relief from symptoms of stress. It’s created by Natra Bio. It’s not clear where the company is from. Product labels say Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts; other websites list locations in Washington, Arizona, and Utah. Their parent company, Elephant Pharmacy, is based out of California. Natra Bio says they’ve been in business since 1979, focusing on homeopathic products and quality manufacturing processes. Most homeopathic items are very safe and have high levels of purity.

Stress Relief contains the following ingredients: Chamomilla 1X, Humulus lupulus 1X, Passiflora incarnata 1X, Avena sativa 4X, Cimicifuga racemosa 6X, Cinchona officinalis 6X, Kali Phosphoricum 9X, Calcarea Carbonica 12X, Silicea 12X, Inactive: Lactose, magnesium stearate.

Product Features

Active ingredients include Chamomilla, Kali Phosphoricum, Calcarea Carbonica, and Silicea. Kali Phosphoricum refers to Potassium carbonate, which is a white salt that has no known medical applications. Sometimes it’s used in the making of soap and glass. It’s not likely to reduce any symptoms.

Silicea is the chemical compound Silicon dioxide. It’s common in quartz, various living organisms, and sand. It doesn’t dissolve easily, which can cause health problems if inhaled, as it would stick to the lungs. If you eat or drink it, though, Silicea is considered non-toxic. It doesn’t have any known pharmaceutical benefits aside from helping tablets retain their shape during the manufacturing process. The compound comes in many forms and has a wide range of practical applications. But it won’t do anything to reduce stress. The same is true of Calcarea Carbonica (also known as impure Calcium Carbonate), a chemical compound found mostly in rocks and shells. It’s sometimes called “one of the three major remedies used in homeopathic treatments” but has no actual medical use, except as an antacid, or part of a calcium supplement. In this product, both Calcarea Carbonica and Silicea are diluted enough to not provide any noticeable benefits or detriments. They’re provided at a 12X (6C) scale, which means almost none of the substance exists in the product.

  • Natural product which doesn’t contain alcohol, sugar, or obvious allergens, although the lactose may be a problem for some people.
  • Natra Bio products are sold in over 750 stores across the United States, so it’s possible to find this item somewhere near you.

  • Exactly the same ingredients as another product from this company, Insomnia Relief, except this product doesn’t have Valeriana officinalis or Silicea. It might be better to get the other item.
  • No evidence that homeopathic medicine is effective in any way, other than potentially providing a placebo effect.

It doesn’t contain significant amounts of active ingredients, so we can’t effectively judge if this product works. Being primarily salt and lactose means Stress Relief is considered safe for most people to use. It does have better concentrations of many ingredients compared to other homeopathic medicines, possibly almost as much as some herbal teas. Another product from Natra Bio might serve you better, since this product is so similar to others yet has fewer ingredients. It’s not expensive for one box, though. If you think Stress Relief might be for you, it doesn’t cost much to see what its effects are.
