It contains a patented form of curcumin, which is one of the active ingredients found in the turmeric plant (Cucurma longa). It is said to be better absorbed by the body. It combines curcumin with turmeric essential oils and delivers up to 10 times more curcumin into the blood than standard supplements. According to its manufacturer, CuraMed helps protect the brain from oxidative stress, supports a healthy inflammation response, maintains joint comfort, enhances mood, promotes detoxification and contributes to long-term cardiovascular health.

CuraMed contains the following ingredients: CuraMed includes the following ingredients: Proprietary Complex (Curcumin Rhizome Extract, phospholipids, and turmeric essential oils) 750 mg.

Product Features

CuraMed is advertised as a more efficient form of curcumin, which is the primary active ingredient in Turmeric. Turmeric is a perennial herb that belongs to the same botanical family as ginger. In general, a turmeric plant contains between 3% and 5% curcumin. Several studies have demonstrated that standard curcumin extract (raw curcumin) is not well absorbed into the bloodstream, meaning it has low oral bioavailability.

According to the manufacturer, their product contains a patented curcuminoid compound called BCM-95. This extract of turmeric contains curcumin, demetoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin ‗ and is enhanced with other essential oils of turmeric. While some dietary supplements from other companies also use BCM-95 in their unique formulations, CuraMed is marketed as to offer superior absorption into the bloodstream.

According to the product’s website, CuraMed is made with a patented technology that improves cellular absorption and sustains curcumin retention in the body. BCM-95 can provide as much as 40 times more curcuminoids than an equal amount of turmeric rhizome.

According to Terry Naturals, “Therefore, when compared to other similar products, CuraMed delivers up to 10 times more curcumin and up to 500 times more curcumin than found in an equal amount of turmeric.” They also state that curcumin has a very high ORAC value; meaning it is a powerful antioxidant that can help to limit damage from free radical agents. Some of these agents include reactive oxygen species in sunlight, food additives, smog, smoke, pesticides and pharmaceutical drugs.

There is no standard dosage provided by the officials. CuraMed is available in different dosages as it offers its consumers more choice. 375 mg option is useful for maintenance dosing while 750 mg soft gels are for those who desire high doses of curcumin.
