Synopsis

1) Cruciferous Complete at a Glance

Cruciferous Complete contains Vitamin K, Potassium and cruciferous vegetables.Cruciferous vegetables (Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, kale, cabbage, kohlrabi, mustard greens, rutabaga, Bok Choy, cauliflower, etc.) are a rich source of biologically active ingredients demonstrated to enhance immune system health and fight off infection. They include nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin K, carotenoids, dietary fiber, calcium, potassium, copper and vitamin B6.

Vitamin K is beneficial in maintaining bone health and preventing osteoporosis, has anti-inflammatory properties and is also known as an antioxidant. It has brain protective properties and may help with preventing age-related cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. The mechanism of actions is related to its contribution in the synthesis of Sphingolipids, a class of lipids present in high concentrations in brain cell membranes (the myelin sheaths). Additionally, Sphingolipids take part in various brain cell processes such as proliferation and differentiation. There is evidence that suggests Vitamin K may potentially influence behavior and cognition. Concern exists that Vitamin K may harm people with certain liver and kidney problems.

My acupuncturist recommended this supplement after I had breast cancer: 3 capsules, 3xday. I would like to hear from others who may have used Cruciferous Complete for the same thing. I honestly don’t know how to rate it…
