Cognizine is a brain support formula that was created to boost the cognition process, such as learning, memory, focus, and concentration. The product is manufactured by Legacy Labs, a health company located in Arizona. The development team created an array of supplements, dedicated to a variety of common medical conditions. One of the scientists involved in creating Cognizine is Dr. Sam Walters, who is said to be a distinguished author with a prestigious career in bio-nutrition, who occupied a number of important positions such as being a diplomat of The American Council in Applied Clinical Nutrition and a member of the development team who created nutritional formulas for NASA. He joined Legacy Labs in order to create a specific formula, designed to answer the needs of aging brains, for an improved life quality and a better state of mind.

The product is claimed to provide essential daily neurotransmitter support, along with additional nutraceuticals that boost the cognitive function. According to its developers, the formula is designed to support cognition through every stage of life. Cognizine was mainly created for seniors over 40, who lost their ability to think clear and focus and it promises to improve the mood and productivity, to boost the blood and oxygen flow from the brain, and to restore up to twelve years of life’s worth of lost brain power.

Cognizine Ingredients

Cognizine contains the following ingredients: Vinpocetine, L-Glutamine, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, DHA Concentrate, Phosphatidylserine, Bacopa Powder, DMAE, Korean Ginseng Root Powder, Huperzine, Stearic Acid, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Silicon Dioxide, and Decalcium Phosphate.

Product Features

In line with the company’s statements, the formula contains nine heavily researched key ingredients, known for their benefits in assisting brain function. One of these ingredients is the powder made from Bocopa Monieri, a white flower that grows on the banks of River Ghanges in India. This herb has been used in medicinal purposes since ancient times and is known to boost GABA, one of the most important neurotransmitters in the brain, which is linked to relaxation and anti-anxiety effects. Recent studies have discovered significantly improved verbal learning and memory acquisition and retention. Another important ingredient is Vinpocetine, a natural supplement extracted from Periwinkle plant, mostly used to attenuate memory impairments, increase the brain’s oxygen and blood flow, and prevent brain damage and neuronal cell death. Several studies have revealed increased brain performance and undeniable improvements in language, mathematics, and memory.

Another compound which seems to contribute to an overall enhanced state of mind is Phosphatidylserine (PS), a phospholid approved by FDA, which is an important part of cell membranes. PS deficiency is linked to aging related conditions and additional PS is believed to restock brain cell membranes and improve the nerve chemical function, stimulating the release of dopamine and serotonine. PS may also stimulate nerve cell growth and generate new connections between cells. Some scientists say that PS is the only medication that has demonstrated to reverse age-related memory loss in clinical studies.

There are no known side effects of Cognizine, but pregnant women, individuals under 18 or people who have a history of heart condition should not take the tablets before consulting with a specialist.

I actually have taken cognizine for awhile, aprox 6 months and I really only take one a day. I really think it helps me with my vocabulary. I’m 52 and hate it when I’m talking and I can’t think of a word. Cognizine seams to help with my “word flow”.

How long to you advice a person to take 2 Cognizine Tabs per day until they see results ? I have been on 10 days.

  5. 8

I looked up most ingredienst mentioned in the Cognizine Online Ad in Pub Med, which lists scientific studies. Most of the ingredients were associated with improving conditions associated with dimentia. But I would be hesitant to try this while I am still functioning well in cognitive areas.

I am very wary of medical promises that boarder, carefully, on what is legal to represent (as this pitch does) and a “special” pricing that is presented as exclusive but actually exactly what everyone else pays – yet presented as a HUGE savings. The guarantee is also BS. Two friends tried this, and could not NOT get their promised refund, and certainly not the additional 10 bucks promised. Sorry – I hate this kind of bait and switch advertising.

What is the effect on someone with MS? I know I don’t remember as well as I once did and I have mobility problems with MS as well. I also think there is some cellular(?) exchange with the brain and other parts of the body. Will Cognizine help me???

    Please advise!

    Thank you!!!

I have taken L glutamin and it works really great, but I broke out in hives and an itch that lasted 2 months. I am not sure this would help since I have had a reaction to L glutamine. We think that is what caused the hives, but we are not sure. I think Cognizine has L glutamine in it. I need to know where we get L glutamine from out diets. I think beef, but not sure.

I have had a underactive thyroid all my life which has caused memory, concentration and comprehension problems. Is this product ok to take with synthroid? Will it interact with my thyroid?

I had a stroke one year ago that has affected the part of the brain that controls my vision. iI have decreased vision overall and only about 100 degree periphial vision on the left. Will this help the brain recover the loss of vision?

I have tried Cognizine for one month and noticed no change in my memory. In fact, sometimes I forgot to take it when I should have, and when I decided to cancel my participation, I could not remember where I had put my future supply that I had put away. After three days of searching our house I finally discovered my stash. Now my experience may not be typical. Physically, I am a very active 83-year-old with excellent brain functions, viz. I have an B.A. in English and an M.A. in Theatre. It was from taking some hormone shots to reduce my prostate size that ruined my memory some five years ago. I stopped the shots immediately, but the damage was done and hasn’t gotten better. Thankfully, parts of my memory for crosswords and my hobbies are still good enough, but events with family and friends is gone, gone, gone! I’m switching to HFC…Wish me luck, my wife would appreciate any improvement. Good luck to all of you who have read this.

I would think cognizine would not be safe for anyone on coumadin, aspirin etc type therapies as it would act to potentiate these products. Please comment

I am a PhD student at age of 51. My memory is falling. I can’t remember what I have learned and even during my presentations I loose what I previously know and get frustrated. So, do you think Cognizine is a good solution? If it is, how can I get it in Addis Ababa(Ethiopia)?

    Hello Judy,

While it should, in theory, be safe for someone that is immuosupressed to take Cognizine, it is strongly advised to consult a specialist before beginning the treatment, similarly to any other product.

    Hello Janice,

Taking Cognizin alongside Warfarin may lead to a decreased INR, hence it would accelerate blood coagulation.

We advise you to also consult your medical practitioner in order for him or her to confirm this information and, potentially, suggest a supplement that is best suited for your needs.
