Cerecomp is promoted as a homeopathic medicine specifically designed to improve poor memory, reduce mental fatigue and help with concentration gaps. The company responsible for the development and promotion of this product goes by the name of Heel and it is headquartered in the United States.

The business comes with an extended background on the nutritional field, being founded in 1936 by Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg. Although it was initially founded in Albuquerque, US, they have expanded and currently have offices in more than 40 countries around the globe. The founder of this company was actually a German physician who earned a medical degree in Berlin. Despite the fact that it was created in 1936, it was only in 1979 that they relocated in Albuquerque.
They received letters of warning from the FDA regarding some violations in the marketing department, but they were eventually settled and the company didn’t make another wrong step since.

Cerecomp features approximately 24 ingredients and it can be regarded as an “all-but-the-kitchen-sink” approach, where the combination may turn out to have more downsides than positive effects. On a different page, the producer claims that the remedy is safe to take alongside any type of treatment and by everybody with no drawbacks. Unfortunately, these claims are not supported by any type of tests.

Product Features

Designed as a blend of ingredients that aren’t commonly found in this type of dietary supplements, Cerecomp promises to deliver required nutrients in order to expand one’s mental alertness, reduce the stress which appears throughout the day and fix certain concentration problems. Because of the wide spectrum of components, the product appears to be an “all-but-the-kitchen-sink” approach, which may come with certain unwanted effects. On one hand, it can be harmful if consumed by people who are either allergic to any of the ingredients or are taking other type of medication alongside, which may strongly interact with it. On the other hand, the ingredients may react to one anoyher in ways that determine unwanted dangerous reactions for the consumer. Although the company states that there are no drawbacks and no side-effects linked to the remedy, the research done on some of its ingredients suggests otherwise.

One of the ingredients found in Cerecomp is Anamirta cocculus or Levant berry. This plant grows on the territory of Southeast Asia. Manufacturers generally utilize the seeds and fruits of this herb. The active chemical in Levant berry, pictotoxin, works by stimulating the central nervous system, being involved in GABA synthesis. Not much is known however on the full mechanism of action of this substance in the brain. In fact, there are some strong safety concerns linked to this ingredient due to another chemical featured in it which is called picrotoxin. The research is still being conducted, but there are some sources that point to the fact that an accidental overdose of this herb may even cause death. Also, the seeds contain  certain fatty acids which enhance blood flow towards the brain, thus the connection between neurons is bettered. However, Other side-effects which can occur throughout the treatment include depression, twitching and vomiting.

Unfortunately, most of the other herbs featured in Cerecomp have no real connection to the improvement of the cognitive system. While there are other areas that can be positively influenced by them, the conclusion is that this product may not actually help with the above mentioned issues.

The daily dosage is one tablet per day. warnings refer to pregnant and nursing women, as with most dietary supplements.
