Boku Superfood is a dietary supplement advertised to contain some of the most potent, nutrient-dense organic foods known today. According to its manufacturer, Boku International, the formula helps support immune function and energy, improved mental focus and vitality.

Boku Superfood is recommended to adults who are looking for a fast, convenient way to achieve a healthy diet. The formula is also Kosher certified and vegetarian, which makes it a good choice for special categories of consumers.

Product Features

Boku Superfood includes a variety of fruits, algae and vegetable extracts, plus several enzymes and super greens in a formula designed to benefit primarily the immune system, mental focus and energy.

One of the most important super greens contained by the formula is the young Barley Grass juice. Barley juice contains 4 times more calcium than milk, 22 times more iron than spinach and as much protein per ounce as a steak. Also, the green food contains all 10 essential amino acids (Arginine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan and Valine) as well as more than 12 minerals and 13 different vitamins (including Vitamin K). Barley Grass is also a good source of SOD (super oxide dismutase), an important antioxidant.

Boku Superfood contains algae such as Spirulina, ancient algae containing more protein per gram than any other known food. Chlorella is another potent alga known as one of the world’s strongest natural chelators. It can detoxify the body by removing heavy metals such as lead and mercury.

Product reviews and testimonials are available for Boku Superfood on the company website. No side effects or precautions are mentioned by the manufacturer. It is recommended that the initial dosage is 1 scoop per day, a dosage that gradually increases to 4 or more scoops per day. The product comes in the form of dissoluble powder.

Regarding the Organic Super Meal Replacement Drink Powder in chocolate…the package states “the BoKU difference ! We only use Mother Nature’s finest ! No phony ingredients here ! Yet I found ” cyanocobalamin ” . Which I read is a very cheap synthetic man made supplement. I’m so disappointed.

I deal with iron overload because of blood transfusions that I receive. Is this product full of iron
that would deposit within my body and complicate this condition.

  3. 3

I am a diabetic with a high aa1c level. Is this product ok for me to use as a meal replacement such as for breakfast.

      Hi Doris,

Boku Superfood is entirely organic, kosher, and vegan, so there are no known side effects associated with it.
However, I strongly advise you to ask your doctor’s opinion first if you want to use it as a meal replacement. Your health professional is the only one in condition to recommend you an adequate diet.

      Kind regards,
      BR Editor

I’m wondering if these products have any QA external reports confirming / verifying the ingredient amounts? If so, how can those be accessed? Thank you

      Hi Penny,

We couldn’t find any QA report at the time of the review and upon conducting a new research, there still wasn’t any information available. Boku Superfood contains a proprietary blend, so detailed quantities of ingredients weren’t disclosed.

      Kind regards,
      BR Editor

I have been using the boku superfood, super berries, macha green tea, protein powder, bars, super bars and trail mix. I LOVE all of them. I have taken quality nutrition consistently for over 15 years and I have never found anything that made me feel like this does. I would highly recommend this to everyone. It curbs my appetite, gives me energy and alertness, I wake up feeling good, sleep better, don’t have sweet and snack cravings as I use to, etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE these products !!!
